Further testing
Hi Crew. I went through breast cancer over Christmas/new years this year. Found early, Grade 1. Lumpectomy and radiation therapy. Nothing in the lymph. We have now found a 4.3cm cyst/lump thing in one of my adrenal glands. It's not presenting like anything they recognise so I'm now off to a specialist

Urine retention
I told my urologist that I saw a little blood in my urine. It only happened once, but 5 weeks later and after 2 negative urinalysis tests, he insisted on scoping my bladder for tumors (none seen). While in there, he showed me scar tissue in my prostate from radiotherapy and cryotherapy. I never had surgery

Just finished first meeting with radiation oncologist. What he proposed as next steps
Given my PSA of ".38" 22 months following robotic radical prostatectomy and with a "low risk" Decipher RP score, I had my first meeting today with a local radiation oncologist (Dr. Michcael Ray - ThedaCare Cancer Center Appleton Wisconsin). I have my first call with a urologist from an academic hospital

I had radiotherapy to my pelvis 22 years ago for endometrial cancer after having a total hysterectomy. I feel I am still living with the consequences can this be possible. Thanks Geraldine

Little battle update ;)
Good morning all you dear peepsš¤š» I have been measured up and tattooed for a stereotactic radiotherapy starting first session on 22nd September at 10am on alternate days for 5 sessions. Hopefully it will work, otherwise a lot longer šš¾positive thoughts and prayers are with me, as a spiritual aid.

Meeting with a radiation oncologist for the first time this Thursday.
Meeting with a local radiation oncologist for the first time this Thursday. Quick recap - Robotic radical prostatectomy in Oct 2018. PSA has risen to .38 effective a couple of weeks ago. Decipher RP score was .37. Here are the questions I plan to ask them (they are not an academic clinic): 1. Do

I was supposed to run this on the Downs with my brother but he called to let me know he was tired and needed to preserve his strength as he starts his radio therapy tomorrow. Iāll miss running with him these next 6 weeks. š¢ So I decided to stay and run around Chichester and see how I felt. I got off

Pleurisy
I think I've got pleurisy again. The pain in my ribs is quite something! Do people become susceptible to this after they've had it once? I have pulmonary fibrosis (caused by radiotherapy in 1990 for Hodgkin's disease), a paralysed right hemi-diaphragm and asthma. I also have multiple other chronic

Where I'm at so far....
After a high PSA test result (26.2), an abnormal DRE and an MRI that was PIRADS-5 (high risk of cancer but nothing seen outside of the prostate), I finally had a biopsy last week. The pathology results showed cancer in 10 of 12 cores, 4 were grade group 2, 5 were grade group 3, 1 was grade group 4

My 22 month psa after radiation treatment (SBRT) is 1.25. What should my nadir be? Less than 0.5?
I just had my PSA test yesterday (8/21/20) and the number is 1.25 as compared to 1.69 on 3/19/20. I was diagnosed with PC in July 2018 with Greason score of 7 (4 + 3). I had radiation treatment (SBRT) at UCLA in October 2018. I am 70 years old. I have enclosed my historical PSA from 2012. Please

Follicular thyroid cancer
I was diagnosed with a benign goitre back in 2015. After noticing they had grown Iāve had further investigations and then a partial thyroidectomy. I have been told I have follicular cancer and now need to have the rest removed and potentially nuclear iodine. My tumour was encapsulated in thyroid but

Just finished radiotherapy but feel overwhelmed
Hi everyone This is my first post here and hoping for a little guidance/advice. I was diagnosed in May with grade 3, ER+ HER2- breast cancer. Lymph node removal showed no spread, so lumpectomy and radiotherapy, along with taking Tamoxifen (oncotype result 17, so no chemo). Haven't felt too bad physically

BCR - what might be next ...
It was bound to happen ā came as no surprise (although you could hope for a different outcome). My PSA has jumped dramatically, in the last 6 months. Previous reading was 1.7 ā jumped to 3.2 a week ago - no reason to believe that the rising numbers are going to stop 'naturally'. I was on an ADT holiday

SURPRISING STUDY RESULTS ? - PSA Levels Before Salvage Radiotherapy and Outcomes With Long-Term Antiandrogen Therapy in Prostate Cancer
This recent published study surprisingly? portrays that a higher PSA following RP and early pre salvage radiation theray (pre-SRT) has a better outcome using ADT than a lower PSA - anyone have thoughts on this ? Conclusion from the study: The investigators concluded, āThese results suggest that pre-SRT
