Given all clear re Lymphnodes 8 months ago, but sentinel node biopsy didn’t work, now they have found cancer! Has anyone been through this?
Hi, My wife was diagnosed with BC, she had it removed and had a sentinel node biopsy, was all clear. 8 Months later an ultrasound revealed cancer in a Lymphnode. She just had 8 nodes removed and they found microscopic cancer in 3 other nodes. They are sure it was there from the start. They have tested

POST Radiation PSA movement
I just received my first PSA result, 7 weeks post Radiation Therapy. The number is .01. My 1 month and 3 month PSA post prostatectomy were also both .01, then it crept up to .03 at 6 months. That was 4 months ago. At that point, mostly due to my high rick Decipher we decided to start radiation therapy

Cavitating lesion
I had a lobectomy 9 years ago and (foolishly) thought I would have no more problems as all my scans since surgery have been clear. Breathing has always been a problem due to emphysema, but has lately got worse - X-rays, CT Scan and now PET scan show I have a 5cm "cavitating lesion" in that same lung

A positive test.
Now it is the final day of Sharon's self-isolation there is little fear of poking providence with a sharp stick anymore. Last week I reported about there being 5 positive tests with carers, that were carried out the previous Wed, at the nursing home where my partner works. That Sunday Sharon went to

Article
Hi all, So I’m really excited! I have written a patient perspective article about radiotherapy and acute and late effects and it’s been accepted by a medical imaging journal for their special edition which is out later in the year. I mention PRDA UK 👍🏻🙂🥰

Possible longer-term effects of pelvic radiotherapy
I completed 7 weeks of daily RT last year as the final step in my therapy for prostate cancer. I am still experiencing some minor to moderate effects on my bowels and have been told that I can expect some improvement over the next 12 months. I am keen to discover what others have found to be helpful

From PC diagnosis to Penile Implant (A 2 year journey)
So, it has been a few months since I have been on here, but wanted to share a brief story of my journey thus far. It is two years exactly to the day; I got a prostatectomy. Since then, there have been many ups and downs and unforeseeable side turns. After my initial diagnosis in July of 2018, I

Abiraterone vs Enzalutamide + Radiation
I would like to solicit the valued opinion of members of the HU community regarding the potential benefits of abiraterone or enzalutamide when undergoing radiotherapy. It is well known that radiation therapy can elicit a beneficial immunogenic response (i.e., abscopal effect) and that concurrent ADT

Any suggestions for combatting muscle weakness please?
Since I last posted a tumour was discovered in my brain making me wobbly on foot and sick. I had a course of radiotherapy on it and the situation is improving but I still have the lung and adrenal gland tumours. My leg muscles are now poor. I sit and rise unsupported with difficulty. I keep doing it

New Here and Glad I’ve found this Group – Anyone done Proton Therapy?
Intro Info – I’m 66 relatively good health, obviously gay. During a routine physical I had a slightly elevated PSA score of 4.3 so my primary care doctor recommended me to a Urologist. After some discussion we decided to do a biopsy. The result from the 12 cores was not what I wanted to hear. I was hoping

Blood in urine after radiation treatment
Anybody has experience with blood in urine after radiation treatment. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July 2018 (Greason 4+3, psa 7.8). I had SBRT treatment at UCLA in October 2018. In June 2020 I had blood in the urine 3 times in 2 weeks. I took 15 day antibiotic on 7/6/20 and the blood
