Strange marks on breast
Hi hope your all keeping safe I had a lumpectomy for dcis in February/March followed by 1 week of intense radiotherapy ( because of covid 3 weeks of treatment was done in one) very sore for a few weeks after but all fine. Free-PSA Ratio after Biochemical Recurrence
New study below [1]. Some might recall the use of the free-PSA ratio to cut down on unnecessary biopsies. "The risk of cancer increases if the free to total ratio is less than 25%" [2]. Does the ratio have prognostic value after biochemical recurrence? Apparently it may. "Posttreatment FPSAR>=0.10

Rather mixed and still left hanging in mid air. What was seen as suspicious, has after a conference, turned out to be fibrosis, scarring from the radiotherapy, so not cancer after all. Another CTScan has been ordered for 3 months time. A sigh of relief, but then he said "they have spotted something in

Stage 1a triple negative breast cancer
I was diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago with stage 0 triple negative DCIS. I had a lumpectomy with sentinel lymph node removal. It turned out to be stage 1a triple negative breast cancer. The tumor was very tiny and my lymph nodes were clear. I also had 20 rounds of radiation treatment. My oncologist told me

Thank you Spikey for your advice re oxalipatid - I will ask the oncologist when we see him on Monday. Bit of a mix-up with this virus situation, we are in Malta, my husband was diagnosed & then thought why not have the treatment at the Marsden as we live practically next door - then with the quarantine

PET scan shows small hot spot in colon
Dad just diagnosed T4N0M0 ( upper lobe) cancer in right lung. Told radiotherapy will “cure” it! Consultant who fed back to parents this week omitted fact that PET scan showed small hot spot in colon that requires colonoscopy next week urgently! Just when we thought ... fab! Hasn’t spread ... radiotherapy

Further testing
Hi Crew. I went through breast cancer over Christmas/new years this year. Found early, Grade 1. Lumpectomy and radiation therapy. Nothing in the lymph. We have now found a 4.3cm cyst/lump thing in one of my adrenal glands. It's not presenting like anything they recognise so I'm now off to a specialist
