Scientific fact-check, please?
I’m working on page 44 of my cancer comic, and I’m trying to explain how radiation therapy works, in very generalized terms. Obviously I’m simplifying and stylizing some of the cellular level stuff, but can the more scientific of y’all check the overall factual nature of the page? I’m going to ask the

PSA Bounce After Radiation Therapy
I am trying to understand PSA bounce or change in PSA levels after RT and have found two studies useful. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7465291/ https://www.nature.com/articles/s41391-021-00387-4 Some analysts distinguish between PSA bounce and biological recurrence, and see a possibility

Radiotherapy
I’ve just finished a 3 week course of Radiotherapy and I feel dreadful. I’ve been very sick and it feels like flu. I’m very tired and sleeping a lot. Complete loss of appetite. I didn’t find chemotherapy as bad as this. Has anyone else had this experience ?

post radiation. Currently on ADT. PSA slight increase ?
Hey all, My father who started at 226PSA has finished radiation treatment about a year ago.: and remains on ADT. his PSA was sitting 0.03 but has jumped to 0.08. Is this any cause for concern? I took it as a positive as it sounds extremely low but now second guessing ..

RT with ADT Relogolix (Orgovyx) vs Enzalutamide (Xtandi) Side Effect Differences?
There may not be a lot of people that can offer anecdotal reports on both as monotherapies but the reason I ask is some studies in the last 3 years are showing administration of Xtandi during Radiotherapy has shown outcomes as good as if not better than RT + ADT. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science

felt a bit bruised
Hi. I had only five days radiation. Didn’t feel tired. My breast and below my breast and ribs, felt bruised. But went after a few months. I found finding a comfortable bra was more of a problem because of swelling from the op and also radiotherapy. Hope all goes well for you.

ADT with radiation?
I have a G 4+3, considered to be unfavorable intermediate risk, but a Decipher score of .4, considered to be low risk. I have opted to have radiation to treat my PCa. Do I need to take ADT with the radiation therapy? My MO suggested 4 to 6 months of Orgavix (not sure if I'm spelling it correctly). If

Is it PSA recurrence or not...
My friend had a radical prostatectomy a year ago. Since then his monthly PSA results were stable, at 0.006 3 months ago his PSA went from 0.006 to 0.012, then the next month to 0.029. His MO wanted to see the third month's results in order to consider salvage radiation therapy. Luckily, third month's

Barrigel is now preferred over "SpaceOAR" gel?
Consulted by video with the doctor who is supposed to install my SpaceOAR in preparation for my IMRT. His first words were "we don't use SpaceOAR gel anymore. We use Barrigel." He explains it has fewer side effects but the same radiation absorption characteristics. Here is what "UroToday" says:

No more enzalutamide: docetaxel next up
So enzalutamide has stopped doing its thing. PSA up to 3.9 but it’s worked for 3.5 years. Also got a new lesion in my thoracic spine so in addition to docetaxel, a single dose of radiotherapy. Hope that will all be underway within a couple of weeks. Some fear for a while about the meds not working and

Finasteride: "Miracle drug" regrows hair, heals prostate, and also boosts heart health ByEric Ralls Earth.com
I am now thinking to add Finasteride to Bicalutamide plus degarelix injections. Would/could it help me if on the psma pet scan my only visible cancer is in my prostate? I had radiation therapy to my prostate but my prostate cancer is back and looks like that the radiation therapy failed and the most
