Experiencing a rash while on Leuprorelin (Prostap, Lutrate) hormone therapy.
I am just finishing 37 radiotherapy sessions and have been on hormone for 5 months. I had a couple of irritating spots under one of my arm pits for the past 2 months. In the past few days a rash has spread across my chest and neck and groin. Anyone else experience this during treatment? Thanks

Taper while having other treatments?
Hi everyone. I am about to embark about the 21st of this month on a 6 weeks course of radiotherapy to my neck and cheek. I shall be at week 6 of a 8 week taper from 4mg of prednisolone to 3mg a day at that stage. I had surgery to remove a lymph node and a saliva gland 5 weeks ago with no flare whilst

Low to intermediate risk
has anyone used a radiation therapy called CyberKnife? My boyfriend is recently diagnosed with intermediate risk PC which hopefully is confined to the prostate. We are focusing on next steps - trying to find a skilled radiation oncologist in the West Chester, PA area.

Pelvic Radiotherapy
I am hoping to find information regarding Pelvic radiotherapy regarding sideeffects and the percentage of males & females who have received radiotherapy and have gone on to experience long term side effects. I am trying to make an informed decision as to whether to decline radiotherapy or to go ahead

Survival after Radical Prostatectomy versus Radiation Therapy in High-Risk and Very High-Risk Prostate Cancer
I figured that if I didn't post this new study [1], it might get lost. What with the prevalent bias towards radiation hereabouts. Soundbite: ""

Gbm medication for epilepsy?
I would like to know what others are taking for epilepsy. My husband has Gbm diagnosed one year ago after a seizure and had successfully tumour removed, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Just in February this year he started to get epilepsy again, one per week , and has been put on 3000g levetiracetam,

RT/RP vs RT/ADT OCSS (overall cancer-specific survival)
What am I missing? Looks like RP with RT OCSS is a fraction of OS (overall survival). I have looked at multiple studies and they all seem to show the same type of thing. a.10-year survival after RT/ADT or RT/RP (comparing overall mortality (PCa, cardiac, etc) to PCa mortality for RT/ADT vs. RT/RP) "The

Breast cancer and Radiotherapy
I have Lupus/Sjogrens and unfortunately have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy first in order to try and reduce the tumour in order that the operation will be less invasive. After my second MRI I was given the great news that the tumour had reduced by 50%. However

Rare ovarian cancer
Just wondered if anyone has been diagnosed with a low grade steroid tumour of the ovary? It is very difficult to find any information as it is rare. I was diagnosed in 2017 and had a full hysterectomy. It recurred in 2019 and I had major surgery to remove 15 lymph nodes and it has just recurred again

Zytiga vs Xtandi
November of 2020 PSA was noted at 4.5. 6 months later it was 32 then quickly up to 46. Biopsy graded out at GL9. PSMA found metastasis on the sacrum and multiple lymph nodes in pelvic and abdominal area. Started Lupron in October and radiation therapy in January 2022. One oncologist likes Zytiga over

Call out to liver cancer patients who have received SIRT
The British Liver Trust is currently campaigning on behalf of liver cancer patients – specifically we want to improve access to minimally invasive cancer therapies. We are keen to hear from patients who have received selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) who would be willing to tell their story
