Radiotherapy, or not?
I recently had my womb and ovaries removed by keyhole surhery because of stage 1A cancer in the womb lining. When they examined the womb they then found stage2 in the neck of the womb (cervix). I have been offered radiotherapy, should I agree to it?

Treatment prognosis
First, a bit of background. I'm 74 years old, and in March 2021, after an MRI and biopsy, I was diagnosed as having T3b prostate cancer with involvement of the left seminal vesicle, Gleason 7 (4 + 3) ISUP group 3, PSA 11. The Radiation Oncologist told me that treatment was going to be 6 months Zoladex

Steroid use in Glioblastoma Battle
Good Morning Everyone. I was just wondering what kind of steroid doses people are on for countering the swelling on the brain around the tumour. My dad (a 78 year old diagnosed in October) had to stop radiotherapy 5 sessions into a course of 15 in January after an initially successful debulking. We cut

Time to radiation treatment
Hi Everyone, In May 2020, my PSA was undetectable and CT and bone scans showed small lesions in a regional lymph node (I am on Lupron, Zytiga, and had chemo). Since last August my PSA has increased slightly from .03 in Aug, .05 in November, and .06 last December. Because the increase in PSA was small

So Tired
Finished 20sessions of Radiotherapy on 1st December, I was told that this causes tiredness, but it's still going on. I generally fall asleep after lunch for about 60 minutes! Is this normal & how long does it last?

Covid & PCa Diagnosis in England 2020 v. 2019
New full text paper below [1]. Each country responded differently to covid in terms of lockdowns, etc. In England (not Britain), the statistics could only gladden the hearts of the USPSTF. There was a 10,000 deficit in the number of new cases, and "a ‘surgical deficit’ was created of just under 1500

Biochemical Recurrence: Radiation
My husband was diagnosed in Aug. 2020. Biopsy showed Gleason 9 with 3 cores positive. He had hormone therapy shots for 3 months, then a prostatectomy in Feb. 2021. Now his PSA has risen to .4 so he was put on hormone therapy (Orgovyx) and they want to start radiation. It is called biochemical recurrence

Newly Diagnosed
Hello everyone! I've been on Health Unlocked for a few years now, but on the British Heart Foundation pages, as I had a heart attack in 2018. Last week I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma, having gone suddenly deaf in my right ear 16 months ago, and eventually having an MRI 2 weeks ago. Apparently

Anaplastic Oliogodendroglioma grade 3 (AO3)
Hi all, I have had the above condition since 17.12.2012 and want to draw people’s attention to it. I spent the best part of 2012 in and out of A&E with debilitating headaches only to be fobbed off with “it’s just migraines .” Eventually we got a scan and the results were in - a mass had been found in
