No cancer seen in the Lymph nodes. 7 in 11 cores , 5 out of 6 sites with maximum 90% core involvement. It is breaking into the outer casing

Another cause of Pernicious Anaemia?
We know that certain gastric operations cause Pernicious Anaemia and therefore lifelong b12 injections are required . But what I’ve never seen mentioned is the possibility of radiotherapy cancer treatment in the region of the stomach that contains the parietal cells , causing Pernicious Anaemia . Surely

Update recent PSMA
Docs did it to me again with the usual bad news. Uptake in new lymph node locations in pelvis. the radiotherapy failed, and preclude more treatment on new nodal areas. (according to Docs.) So expect to add to ADT, abi or enza or darolutamide in a short while, with PSA going up on a fast double.

Treatment options
I am 47 years old diagnosed with PC last month with Gleason score 9(5,4) and was advised ADT treatment with Bicalutamide and followed by Lupron 30 mg after two weeks. PSA was 77 in Jan and dropped to 23 after starting ADT treatment and already feeling better with much less urinary symptoms. I was advised

What is done in this case ? ADT not working
In may of 2011 the PSA and Biopsy showed that I had an agressive cancer with Gleason 8 so my prostate was extracted and after this I received radiotherapy. Since during the following 9 years my psa continued very low, I suspended checking it and last september I received the surprise that it had increased

If PSA is Suppressed by Doublet ADT, Will Salvage IMRT Cause a PSA Rise?
Hello everyone, My husband is nearing completion of his extended pelvic salvage IMRT with boost to retrocaval lymph nodes. His radiation oncologist said it may take several months before the psa calms down, so he would like to see him in July. My question is that, since he is already undetectable due

10-year update still shows no benefit to ART vs early SRT
ART
= adjuvant radiation therapy, within 6 months after radical prostatectomy (RP)
early SRT
= salvage radiation therapy, after PSA ≥ 0.1ng/ml or 3 consecutive rises. Median was 0.2 ng/ml. Median 1 ½ years after RP. Patients risked nothing by waiting, and gained urinary and fecal continence

Explain my PSMA PET SCAN Please..
PSMA PET/CT from the skull base to midthigh demonstrates: 1. Worsening of skeletal metastases. 2. Multiple sclerotic lesions without activity represent treated metastatic disease. 3. Status post orchiectomy. 4. No abnormal uptake of tracer within the prostatic bed. EXAM: PET CT PSMA CLINICAL

Pancreas problems after RT for prostate
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer two years ago. Received radiotherapy and hormone therapy. My PSA levels have dropped and progress seems OK. I have also had M.E. and fibromyalgia for over 25 years and, as part of that, IBS. Since starting the hormone therapy and radiotherapy I became more and more

How do you know if radiation treatment worked?
I had 25 sessions of radiation to prostate and pelvic area as a precaution and 6 (2 months prior and 4 after radiation)months of Lupron. For 9 months post radiation PSA has been not been detectable and it has now risen to 0.04. T is in the normal range. All other blood works were normal. Meet with

After ADT
Adrenal insufficiency after stopping ADT & steroids. My 72 year old husband had radical, robotic surgery 7 years ago. PSAs were 0 until 2 years ago, then barely detectable. Had the special PET scan, 3 spots lit up in lymph nodes, (in the area, none remote.) Had 6.5 weeks radiation therapy. Had 2 years

Prostate cancer radiotherapy side effects.
I’m a seventy seven year old who had a radical prostatectomy eight years ago. Following one of my regular PSA tests the result showed, after scans in September 2023, a return in the prostate bed and adjacent lymph nodes. Began hormone implants straight away followed by twenty doses of targeted radiotherapy

Month 5 of ORGOVYX
After radical prostatectomy and radiation treatment, I’m now on ORGOVYX and my testosterone has decreased from 672 to 11. I’ll be coming off the medication in one month. If anyone has used ORGOVYX, do you stop cold turkey or is there a tapering off of the drug? Thank you.

Letrozole
I saw the oncologist yesterday to discuss radiotherapy and hormone therapy. The plan for radiotherapy is on hold ATM because I have an ongoing issue with a seroma on the breast and underarm. During the meeting she said she would give me a prescription for Letrozole, I told her I wasn't happy to start

Oil of Evening Primrose
I had a lumpectomy last May. It was a small ductal carcinoma which was invasive. I went on to have Radiotherapy and started a five year course of Letrozole. I developed bad joint pain and I had a month off to see if the Letrozole was the culprit. It was better but not gone. The oncology nurse suggested
