Radiotherapy
Next week I go for radiotherapy for a lumpectomy. I have 5 days of it, being fair skinned I am worried about the 'sunburn' effect that it will probably have on me, as I stay out of the sun due to burning. Not to mention, the feeling sick! Any suggestions please?

ART BCR Biochemical Recurrence post Radical Prostatectomy RP, Adjuvent Radiation Treatment, Benign Cells, usPSA Ultra Sensitive PSA
Some excerpts from a podcast covering many aspects of active surveillance, both post radical prostatectomy (RP) and adjuvant/ early salvage radiation (aRT / eSRT). There is an interesting breakdown of usPSA (ultra sensitive PSA) with predictive values for BCR. Last, it appears that the metric of ‘cure

Advice on mets needed
Uncle, 83, active, asymptomatic, no diseases other than PC, had RT early 2019, with post- surgical PSA detected at low level, followed by radiation therapy, after which low level psa still persisted but did not increase significantly until recently when it jumped to 3.5, more than doubling in 6 month

Financial Toxicity
I was following a trail of links regarding new and developed radiotherapies for advanced PCa. I found a new term that I had not seen before: Financial Toxicity. The one paper said that higher FT was linked to more aggressive cancers. Well, DUH! I've not seen anywhere where the cost of treatments

Does anyone have experience of Lenvatinib as a treatment for liver cancer?
I was diagnosed with liver cancer at the end of September last year, 2022. After a scan I was told that I had one large tumour and several smaller ones, that the large tumour was near the main artery and was of a size that ruled out conventional treatment, liver transplant, radiotherapy, embolisation

PSA "negative" PSMA positive metastasis
I believe that one should be vigilant in this disease. With that said I had a follow-up PSMA PET/CT March 13, 2023. It demonstrated a PSMA avid lesion anterior to L3 and behind the Aorta, consensus was that this did not represent an anatomical variant of the celiac ganglion. My PSA was at the time

Bladder advice needed
Hi guys Had radiotherapy two months ago, and the following CT scan has shown a thickening in the bladder wall. This has coincided with changed bladder symptoms - increased frequency needed and decreased flow (usually just dribbling to start with). I’ve got an urology appointment next week for a possible

ART Radiation dose and ADT in localized PCa: a meta-regression of 5-year outcomes in phase III random control trials; 21,429 patients
I have had 21 months of ADT and also have decided to stop short of my suggested 24 months total treatment as of December, 2022; I cant take the low TET anymore and its consequent impacts. Just when I was doubting my choice to move to long term ADT (LTADT) after salvage radiation (sRT) I stumbled on this

Eligard failure?
Bear with me as I list the details behind my questions. I am currently receiving radiation treatment at UCLA under Dr Kishan on the Viewray (20 treatments vs 5 due to Prostox DNA test showing high risk to long term SE's from higher dose of radiation) and only have 2 treatments to go. Prior to coming

mini break
well the hormone treatment is going well, slight side effects like hot flushes and tiredness, but not that bad, I’ll be having radiotherapy in May so I’ve booked a mini break for myself and my wife in Santa Ponsa, Majorca at the end of April, seems like a great idea

Anybody have bad side effects from Decapeptyl SR in Prostate Cancer treatment?
I was treated for Prostate Cancer supposed to have had adenocarcinoma grade 7, 20 radiotherapy sessions and three hormone injections of Decapeptyl Sr from 13th June 2022, in the result I did not have Prostate Cancer, but the damage caused to my pectus carinatum/pigeon chest osteoporosis was serious,
