Colourful medical history had diabetes 2 since March 2020 on Metformin 1500mg, aged 66, left over side effects from Radiotherapy sessions and hormone injections Decapeptyl SR [last injection 19/12/2022] any reliable way of measuring Blood Sugar Level? Target meant to be circa 58 on 'diet' have had to adapt diabetes diet strictly with changes brought by radiotherapy sessions! Currently 15 1/2 stone 5ft 9 1/2 inches. Want some way of checking myself, my blood sugar level, hopefully on the other side of recovery🤞 [blood pressure is fine, as is eye sight both checked recently] thanks 👍

There are multiple types of devices that make it very easy to check blood sugar. They mount on the skin and allow you to track blood sugar on going with no finger sticks. Your diabetes doc can easily get on for you.

Nearly everyone with diabetes that I know has one of these devices. Here is just one example. freestyleprovider.abbott/us...

Thanks Hunter👍 as usual killed with choice I just want a simple 'device' which I can depend on, say use use it once a week, not over killed with expensive technological devices, I don't mind 'pricks' had that many syringes stuck into my body, lost count. I don't have a diabetes doctor at present dare I say it my previous one was a bit of a "prick" my ex GP [partly responsible for my present condition🙄]! I have a source which I had forgotten, those Freestyle Libre 2 can be a bit expensive about £50 for a fortnight? I want to lose weight, MY DIET although a bit hit and miss, is working🤞
