Hi, I’ve jumped over here from the thyroid forum. For a few years now I’ve suffered on and off from a sharp, twisting pain to the top and inside of my right hip. I can also get quite sharp pains in my back, lower down but I’ve yet to work out if this is related or not. I cannot seem to connect his

Disappointed
Hi I've just found out I have severe anemia which is preventing me from having a long awaited operation I have been given iron and folic acid tablets. My GP who had no idea about my anemia until the hospital through the pre operation tests found it even though I had bloods done in March with my GP ?

Abdominal pain.
I’ve been a weekend binge drinker most of my life, I haven’t had an alcohol since 2019 but three weeks ago I had a seizure and was taken to hospital. I had an abdominal CT scan last year which I was told was ok apart from cysts on liver and kidneys, I also had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy last year

Clear colonoscopy but chronic active inflammation shown up on CT scan.
Hi, I'm currently being investigated for the possibility of bowel disease. I had my colonoscopy on Friday and I didn't really get the answers I wanted. I guess it's one step back. They didn't see any ulcers (my first colonoscopy from 2020 showed TI ulcers) and no inflammation (A CT scan from April this

Miralax..
So I posted the other day about having to get a colonoscopy, and I'm worried it will trigger my aFib. Now I'm guessing it won't be the colonoscopy but rather the 240grams of Miralax they are telling me I need to take in the 24 hours prior to the exam. I called into the office 2 days ago and the doc

Really struggling to go, getting worried
Hi Guys, I'll try to keep this brief. 2 years ago I was doctoring with left sided bowel pain. Had scan and colonoscopy and diagnosed with impacted bowel although I though I was going OK. Tried numerous things but eventually put on Movicol and had been on this for a whole year. Towards the end and now

Very high calprotectin in 13 year old daughter
Any advice or thoughts would be very much appreciated. My daughter is 13 years old and for the past 6 months has been experiencing regular red fresh blood marbled through her poo and rosy blood on the toilet tissue when wiping. Since January she has had 2 bouts of severe mid abdominal pain, where she

Should I be referred to Colonoscopy now ?
Hi, I’ve passed blood in my stool on 3 occasions the last week and am very concerned. I went to the Drs yesterday, she examined my prostate and all seemed fine and nothing visible wrong. They want to do bloods next week and wait 2 weeks for results. Should I be getting referred straight to Colonoscopy

Here I go again. I have been having lots of symptoms. I had my yearly at the Mayo. My liver specialist told me what ever is going on with me has nothing to do with my liver. He said that my liver is as healthy as someone without pbc/aih. The following day I had my three year colonoscopy/endoscopy.

So I finally went to the GI doc
I've been fighting a bit of a losing battle with constipation - regardless of a lot of fiber intake, lots of water, chewing food more, etc I am still getting hit with it every few days it seems. It hasn't triggered my Afib, (one good thing!) only a few ectopics when I get really backed up - but she

Hi, I’m new to this group but am an undetermined IBD sufferer of 26 years. My last colonoscopy in May suggested a 60/40 chance that I have Crohn’s disease over Ulcerative Colitis. For the last 15 years I have managed my symptoms well with Pentasa. Prior to this I was on Azathoprine but had to stop

Blood in stools for many years
I was very stressed as a teenager and developed what I thought was IBS. I was never diagnosed by a doctor but I ended up in ER once in my 20’s because of severe stomach pain. They couldn’t find the cause and it eased off by itself. Since I was 18 I also started having mucus coming out when I pooped or

Having a Bad Week
Another painful flare up and couldn't get out of the bathroom when I was due to go out. Happens so often it must be a trigger. Starts with cramps and I have a few seconds to make it to the loo. Then in and out all day with D. Had many tests, colonoscopies, SIBO etc. Tried various meds, CBT, hynotherapy
