High fit test and now visible bleeding
Hi Guys, I’ve had a change in my bowel habits for the last 4 months. Got a lot lot looser and sometimes the smell was quite bad. I finally managed to get an appointment to see the GP when I realised that it wasn’t going away. I assumed I maybe just had a tummy bug. The GP arranged for me to do a FIT

Unexplained bouts of diarrhoea - heart disease
In March I had a heart attack 10 days after a diverticular bleed. I was told I needed a triple bypass as stents weren’t an option because of the need for long term blood thinners and multiple sites of disease. After feeling exhausted and having angina for 2 months after discharge it was finally picked

Reflux and IBS
Hi I’m new to this chat, but reading others experiences have been very helpful. I started getting Reflux issues in 2016, had endoscopy and colonoscopy but were good. IBS came along too but that comes and goes. Initially I was not In Pantecta full time but this year more than not. I spent 3 weeks abroad

Polyps
Short history: Mother passed from colon cancer, her sisters from rectal cancer and pancreatitis and also her brother from the same. I had a colonoscopy done two years ago and they found 7 polyps around 6 of them and one was precancerous. I went to get another one last mother and they found 7 polyps

Unexplained bouts of diarrhoea - heart disease
I had a heart attack in March following a diverticular bleed & Covid all within two weeks. Told I needed triple bypass as stents weren’t an option because of the need for lifetime blood thinners & multiple sites of disease. Stopping Apixaban before Colonoscopy
Can anyone advise me on when I should stop taking Apixaban before having a colonoscopy. I have had two conflicting answers from the hospital, one says one day before and another says three days before. I will confirm this when I can, just wondered if anyone has been through this. Thanks for reading

Lowing my mind
My symptoms started about 3 months ago, with a change in bowel habits....looser and more frequent 2/3 time a day and heartburn which I'd never suffered with before. That's not changed but other things have happened in the last couple of weeks, really loud gurgling in stomach a few hours after eating

Bloods.
I had some blood tests today. the nurse said the results will be back by tomorrow. My appointment with the doctor is tomorrow. I'm worried about bowel cancer. I know I will need a Colonoscopy to see what's happening. I am terrified of going tomorrow. What can they tell by the blood tests I wonder.

Pulmonary oncology
Hello I have been referred to pulmonary oncology in relation to issues I have been dealing with. I was diagnosed with eosinophilic asthma seven years ago. For the last five years I have been under a specialist and have been tried with various biologics which sadly have not helped. After my holiday

Joining the dots......
I was diagnosed with eosinophilic asthma in 2017. I had rhinitis and nasal polyps prior to being diagnosed - I was 45 when I was diagnosed. Unfortunately despite having mepolizumab, benralizumab and omalizumab I have had little relief - eosinophils and FeNo remain high. To have a normal (ish) life

significantly elevated fit test?
hi all, I have recently been referred and I’m booked in for a colonoscopy next Monday. I have rectal bleeding and blood visible in my poop. I also have lower stomach pain. I see peoples fit tests have scores but mine came back as significantly elevated fit test. What does this mean?

some advice needed
Hi, have had a colonoscopy and CT scan of my pelvis last February. Nothing found but I do have diverticulosis. I know this is the minor one. Had no problems until now. Severe stomach ache and diarrhoea of sorts. More very loose than watery. Sorry for the info. The last week I have had difficulty

Confused!
Due to problems with constipation and periods of diarrhoea, I asked my GP for a referral to a late effects clinic but they insisted on a colonoscopy instead. That was a very painful experience and showed a twisted sigmoid colon but I have been told that is not significant and not a cause of my bowel

is it Colon cancer ?
hi all , I’m really worried about my mum,she has internal Hemorrhoids and would have constipation(which a doctor told her could be due to the medication she’s on for her headaches)The doctor got her to take a FIT test and it came back 400 (even though her hemorrhoids were actively bleeding) she is now

Getting constantly dismissed and still under investigations
Been suffering on and off for years but last three years have been horrendous, finally got referred by my gp to see Gynae who blamed all my symptoms on Gastro. I've had a colonoscopy, endoscopy and a gastroscopy to be told by my gastro specialist that its not gastro related which I already knew. Ive

Feel like giving up
Hi all, would really appreciate some input/advice. I have so many ongoing, chronic, worsening symptoms that are really having a significant impact on my ability to lead a somewhat 'normal' life - chronic reflux and stomach issues, lower digestive issues, gynae issues/fibroid, joint stiffness and mild

Positive Qfit
Hi all and thanks for any advice. I've been having some blood stained mucus obvious and left lower sided pain for a few months now as well as constipation with intermittent very painful episodes when opening my bowels. I had a Qfit test 6 months ago which came back under 7 so apparently very unlikely

Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy in late menopause
I had a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy 3 days ago. I am 74 and had my menopause 25 years ago. I had a 5cm left ovarian cyst which has recently developed nodules. CA 125 cancer marker tests were normal. CEA levels were raised. I had a CT colonoscopy for bowel cancer. negative. I wondered if anyone
