Unexplained bouts of diarrhoea - heart disease

I had a heart attack in March following a diverticular bleed & Covid all within two weeks.

Told I needed triple bypass as stents weren’t an option because of the need for lifetime blood thinners & multiple sites of disease. After feeling exhausted & having angina for two months it was finally picked up that I was very anaemic & very low in iron & I had an iron infusion. Op deferred at present as few incidents of angina now & awaiting results of CT colonoscopy, GP says initial report shows nothing untoward but general diverticular disease which I have had for 25years plus.

Why then have I been having severe bouts of unexplained explosive diarrhoea. Do not seem to be related to what I eat but seems to be after exertion. Could it be related to the heart disease or heart meds including 80mg per day statin.

Any ideas?
