Hi I’m new to this chat, but reading others experiences have been very helpful. I started getting Reflux issues in 2016, had endoscopy and colonoscopy but were good. IBS came along too but that comes and goes. Initially I was not In Pantecta full time but this year more than not. I spent 3 weeks abroad in August and my symptoms were tolerable. Returning home at the beginning of Sept however the symptoms came back . Experiencing pain under my breast bone and it’s sore and lost of back pain too. The Other major major issue is the nightly reflux around 1 -2 in the morning. A sensation running through my upper body and lots of gas . Been on other antacids and herbs like DGL, Slippery Elm, ZincC etc. only helps periodically. I’ve also used L glutamine but two nights ago I took 1.5 teaspoons and it really helped the reflux. However experienced anxiety and migraines for the entire night . So my sleep is being depleted. I am still trusting that this too shall pass 🙏 but any feedback will be appreciated

Do you prop up the head of your bed by the recommended 20cm using bed risers? This helps to keep stomach contents in overnight. Stress will make reflux worse. Interesting you said it was better when you were abroad. Were you less stressed? Do you do any form of mindfulness practice, such a meditation, regularly walking in nature or things like the Nerva gut directed hypnotherapy app? I can't see why that wouldn't help with reflux too.
Try a Lactose & possible Gluten free diet it cured my long term acid reflux 95% If it doesn't work no harm caused
sorry to hear. The only thing that has helped me is Pamprazole twice a day. I recently tried to wean off as I thought the period of acid reflux had gone but it came back so I’m starting again back in the full dose. I hope u find relief.
Hello. Normally you shouldn’t need a colonoscopy for another 10 years. However endoscopy may be considered. I would first try to stop eating after 6 pm and watch my diet. Maybe try nexium for one week to see how your reflux reacts to it. However these meds also cause osteoporosis so I usually limit them to 1 week-max 3 times a year. Rising your bed definitely helps. And a probiotic for ibs. I do have ibs and probiotics helped a lot. Also a tblsp of tahini on empty stomach was recommended by some friends.
Hope you feel better. Anxiety walks hand in hand with reflux and ibs. Try relaxing and walking.
