Does IBD leave evidence?
Hi. I just had a colonoscopy to try and diagnose an episode recently where I had v&d at food poisoning level which caused bleeding. Following initial tests my fecal calprotectin came back at 780 with high ferritin, low folate and a positive qfit at 14. The colonoscopy picked up patchy inflammation

I am scared i have had changed in my bowel habits. And lots of pain in my colon.
For about 8 months I was having straight diarrhea and the last 2 months I'm having so bad constipation but I cannot use the restroom without taking a laxative if I don't take a laxative I cannot go to the restroom. I feel like there's a blockage when I do go to the restroom they're pencil thin it's like

Is it IBS???
Im 50 M UK, I had been experiencing bloating in late 2022. In Dec 2022 Dr prescribed Macro-Bid for a bladder infection. My tummy reacted terribly, with very loud gargling, sore and uncomfortable, and bowel movement very loose. I have had X2 Fit and X2 Calprotection tests Jan & Feb 28 days apart; all

Ultrasound showed Static bowel area
Hi all, Have an update… June 2023 I had a colonoscopy a couple of days ago. They found 2 small polyps which were removed. They took 4 biopsies which will take approx 6 weeks before my GP will get results. I’ve also received an appointment for a CT Scan with Contrast for next week so am hopeful

what type of surgeon for rectovaginal endo - bowel resection
so I was diagnosed with rectovaginal deep infiltrating endometriosis in 2019. Had a laparoscopy and colonoscopy and MRI. I fell pregnant shortly after so I couldn’t go ahead with the bowel resection that I needed. I have since moved from south east to midlands and I have been referred for the op.

Endo!
I'm reaching out for advice. I've had Endo for years now. 4 Laparoscopy surgeries. The last one they removed my left ovary. For the past 7 months I've experienced chronic pelvic and back pain. I've also have recurring discharge, no odour light yellow in colour. The doctors are baffled! I'm 57 now and

colonoscopy and AF
Hi all, I’ve had colitis for thirty years and have had a surveillance colonoscopy at five yearly intervals. I was recently diagnosed with AF and am now absolutely terrified of having a colonoscopy in case I go into AF while having the procedure. I also feel very anxious about stopping Apixaban for three

petrified about possible colon cancer symptoms/diagnostic process
Hi folks! I'm a 40 year old caucasian male. My risk factors include: being overweight, a history of alcohol and tobacco use (10 years beyond those), little exercise, and poor diet. About 4 years ago, I had a 14mm polyp removed during a colonoscopy. The symptom that led me to get checked, was chronic

Health Update
Hi, All, I wanted to share a small success/update with you, but I hope that I don’t get banned by the administrators. After my HA in March 2022, I took a Cologuard test in May. I had expected clear sailing with that test, but the results came back as “positive for cancer.” I freaked out mentally—anxiety

Newbie here!
Just found out about y'all today but I've had IBS for a long time! I take Dicyclomine for it and that stuff is ahhmazing! On top of that I also switched out regular milk with almond milk about ten years ago. Tried going gluten free but it would've been a lot of inconvenience for my family that don't

GCA Biopsy
Just had mine done this morning and am feeling a bit sore and headachy. Will take some paracetamol. Found the experience more stressful and more uncomfortable than having my cataracts done but not quite as bad as a recent colonoscopy. I was really annoyed though that though I’d asked several times

Bleeding Nuisance
Just back from hospital following the third major bleed from my bowel since I started taking Apixaban in December 2018. Following a colonoscopy the problem was diagnosed as a haemorrhoid at the top of my rectum. As soon as I stop taking Apixaban, the bleeding stops. I am then told to stop taking Apixaban

colonoscopy
I have a colonoscopy on Sunday & no one seems to know when I should stop Apixaban. After coming off Flecainide I’m having episodes most days. Anyone had experience of when they were told to stop Thanks

Advice please
Sorry to bother all with non-lung incident but can anyone please throw any light on this? Awoke early today with flushing to face and need to get to bathroom urgently. Fainted twice to floor on the way. Had virtual colonoscopy (sorry!) Monday am this week, and wonder if this is related to that? Inclined
