Not what I was expecting.
So yesterday I went for my needle biopsy, I arrived with time for a coffee in hand and was rather grateful for that (pro tip) if you are going to a appointment at Shrewsbury hospital on a Monday morning, park on Sunday night. After a bit of creative parking on a bit of grass I went to the outpatient surgery

radiation proctitis follow up
Saw my GI doc about my persistent bleeding and clots, now accompanied by mucus, urgency, and irregular bmās. He has scheduled another colonoscopy next week to rule out any other source of my issues. At the same time he will do Radio Frequency Ablation assuming no other source of symptoms is found.

Colonoscopy Tuesday
Hello Everyone! I have been having mucous/blood in stool problems for several months now. I saw a doctor. Had blood work done and a stool sample taken. Blood work was fine. They did find dientamoeba fragilis in the stool sample but nothing else. I'm not experiencing pain. Most times soft stool. Mucous

Post Nephrectomy Diet, CKD, diet, supplements
Hello, I had a Radical Nephrectomy in December 2021; I had been having digestive issues for some time (1-2 years prior to diagnosis; really, most of my life), and misdiagnosed I assume numerous times as Western medicine said "nothing wrong," you just need to get yourself on a LOW-Fod diet, nothing

Worried!!
Hello! I am almost 56 years old! I took a Cologuard test three years ago and it was negative. I took one a couple of weeks ago and it was positive. I have been looking at the symptoms for colon cancer and the only possibility I see would be an increase in bowel movements. I would say that I used to

New here with another question: do you ever feel extra sick when doing the pre colonoscopy stuff to get rid of whatever is in the gut?
I have major phobia of vomiting and Iām scared to take these laxatives that they give you but I know Iāll need to do a colonoscopy some day (or do I?). So I wondered if itās truly so bad?? Please share your experience. Thank you

radiation proctitis
I am almost 3 years out from radiation therapy and Iām still suffering from symptoms of radiation proctitis. I did have it confirmed by colonoscopy about a year and a half ago, at that time the gastroenterologist told me he thought it would resolve eventually but it persists. Have any of you had G.I

Hard Lumps in Stomach
On my left hand side just above my belly button I get, what feels like, trapped gas. Pressing there I feel a lump (not a hernia). I have two in this area. Iām not constipated and it doesnāt go away after a BM. My colonoscopy isnāt until September. Itās sharp pain when I press in that area. Sometimes

Possible IBS but GP doesnāt know for sureā¦..
Hi. Iām really stuck with whatās going on with my body and movements. At the end of March I had what I thought was a standard tummy bug, I didnāt think much of it. After 4 days of diarrhoea and not eating (even water was going through) I tried eating a plain piece of bread. Needless to say that didnā

So frustrated
In 2008 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and then IBS-D followed in 3 years. I've been able to manage fairly well using the FODMAP diet and taking immodium as needed. However, just recently nothing seems to help much. Usually my system will clear within 72 hours if I've eaten something I shouldn't

Colonoscopy
I finished my 35 session 70 Gy full pelvic radiation in January. Is there any reason not to schedule a colonoscopy? I understand there are restrictions on any biopsies during procedure
