Not the only one?
So far I have been given a list of tablets to help : mebeverine, dicycloverine hydrochloride, buscopan,
colpermin
and codein, various shop bought prevention tablets and none of them helped.

17 just diagnosed and could do with some advice
I have been put on 30 mg of prednisolon, 20mg omeprazole,
colpermin
and 75mg codeine (combined with my other medication I am now on 57 tablets a day!). I could use some advice on managing my symptoms and just generally on how to cope as I'm in a lot of pain with it and can feel very down.

I went back to the doctor and was given buscopan (max dose) and
Colpermin
, it does not work, if anything it is getting worse at night. I have had antispasmodics such as this in the past, mebeverine included, and they have not worked. Any advice?

IBS or not? Constantly swelled belly
My GP give me various IBS medication (Colofac, Buscopan,
Colpermin
) but I don't feel any effect from taking them. Was even given Omeprazole as one GP thought it would reduce the gas. My GP recommended probiotic drinks to reduce passing wind also.

Functional IBS and uncontrollable diarrhoea - what can help?
I am taking
colpermin
and dicycloverine hydrochloride for pain and they work well. Could either of these be causing diarrhoea. I don't find that what I eat affects me. Any advice on how to deal with functional IBS gratefully received.

Well I'm back in the land of misery
seem to break this vicious cycle, at least they are going to refer me to a gastro specialist again, that's going to take forever, does anybody else get a pain in their upper back with nausea and I know I have acid reflux, but I can't find anything to relieve it, I'm taking lanzaprozole, meberevine,

Years of relief
After suffering IBS for several years I consulted a private specialist who put me on 20mg NEXIUM (one every morning)
COLPERMIN
(three times a day before meals) I now seldom use the
Colpermin
, but continue with the Nexium and have done for 6 years.....99% effective.

IBS AND Peanut allergy - please note ...
Just a heads-up, the IBS remedy
Colpermin
contains ARACHIS OIL, which is refined peanut oil. My partner discovered this the hard way when prescribed
Colpermin
(before medics decided it wasn't IBS anyway, but a form of Colitis).

I've been given
Colpermin
and have recently bought hyoscine butyl bromide/ Buscopan but neither seem to help. I was on NSAID's for sciatica over the years which affect the stomach and was prescribed amitriptiline for the same condition but found it too sedating.

Advice
I had a colonoscopy last year which found nothing, have an a home test for coeliac and a general allergy test and take
colpermin
regularly. My bowels have their own agenda and it makes me avoid going out, for fear that I will feel the dreaded cramps and know that 'something' is on it's way!
