Otherwise, my next steps are a referral to gastro, potentially with a proposed colonoscopy, and/or a chronic pain specialist. Has anyone else had any similar experiences and either did have endo? Or was eventually diagnosed with something else?

Well, the dreaded colonoscopy has been done! I think the prep stage and the starvation and no fluids was worse than the actual procedure. I had gas and air (as I have bad reactions to the sedative) and they found 4 pre-cancerous polyps which they removed.

This week I had a routine colonoscopy and asked the doc to advise whether he could see any damage resulting from radiation. He advised that I have mild proctitis with some rectal fibrosis. I have read that damage from radiation can continue and/or show up many years after radiation.

So can anyone verify colonoscopy is intolerable bc of fibromyalgia??? Thanks.

Won’t ramble on but quick break down Nov 2021 doctor said 99% IBS with the symptoms and following, bowel sample, blood test and fit test (which all come back clear) no need for referral for colonoscopy.

Hi everyone, recently had a colonoscopy and I was told I have non specific mucosal erethema in my small bowel, they have taken biopsies. Does anyone have more information on what this means please? Thanks x

My FIT test came back as 97 (normal range 0-9) so was sent for a colonoscopy, results came back as clear but I had a very "twisty" bowel which is usually seen in older patients.

I’m due to have a colonoscopy the week after next and as I’m on flecainide (50mg x2) and bisoprolol (1.25mg) would appreciate some advice. I don’t think I need to stop the medication before the procedure, so I’ve read but does the midazolam interact with the drugs in any way please.

I had a colonoscopy today which was bloody awful but am so happy that I do not have cancer. I was told it looks like IBS, now I was so thankful but also upset because my body is not right and for the last 2 years I just know there is something wrong and I'm getting no answers.

My mysterious bloating is evidently starting to concern my gastroenterologist, so I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done about 3 weeks ago (no results yet), and I am due to have another MRI tomorrow morning.

I do not know if there's any correlation between fatty liver disease and colon cancer, but I am a Nash patient and they discovered a Neuroendocrine tumor during a colonoscopy. Please get checked and say some prayers for me. Pretty sure we caught it early enough.

Hi everyone I was diagnosed with moderate UC 5 years ago and am lucky to have only had 2 flares - the first one being brought on by the colonoscopy.| Occasionally I have an accident when I don't quite make it to the loo in time - fortunately whilst I'm still at home.

I'm wondering if this 'abdominal' pain is actually ureter pain, rather than intestinal pain, which it has been thought to be previously - though colonoscopy has revealed nothing.

I'm having a gastroscopy and colonoscopy tomorrow. Previously pre-surgery I have upped my steroid dose for a day to cope with the stress, and I wonder if I should do this tomorrow. I am very nervous about it. My current dose is 6.5mg, tapering to 6mg. I'd be grateful for any advice Thanks

The radiologist picked up the the 'fatty lumps' near my appendix and in the sigmoid and I was then sent for ct scan and referred to the colorectal department with a view to having a colonoscopy.

Hi, I need a Colonoscopy due to a positive FIT test, because I had normal bloods my GP says not to worry too much as that is a good sign, anyone else had normal bloods and Colonoscopy, was the outcome of the colonoscopy good. Thank you.

Just had a colonoscopy 2 days ago. It was mostly clean, except for two smallish ulcers at the junction of large and small colon. The specialist guesses it *might* be what's causing my symptoms, but I'm sceptical.
