What does it mean?
I'm slightly embarrassed to be asking strangers on the internet, but I'm a little frustrated by the lack of information given by the doctors. My dad (63) just got diagnosed - Gleason score 8 - and after a new scan they've concluded there's two mets - one in the pelvic lymph node and one in the seminal

I had a lumpectomy last May. It was a small ductal carcinoma which was invasive. I went on to have Radiotherapy and started a five year course of Letrozole. I developed bad joint pain and I had a month off to see if the Letrozole was the culprit. It was better but not gone. The oncology nurse suggested

PSA, total
Hello. I know this forum is about advanced prostate cancer. I’m really hoping I’m not there yet. I had a RP June 2023 I just got the results from my forth PSA test the first three were a post prostatectomy PSA test and all three were 0.02 this last one was a PSA, total. That’s what the Urologist wanted

Too Many Black Men Dying From Prostate Cancer
No matter what you think about OJ Simpson, you all must agree that too many Black men are dying from prostate cancer. Prostate cancer kills Black men at over 2.4 times the rate that it kills White men. If you want to do something, even if you only have 30 seconds a year and no money to donate, sign

Rising ALP and declining PSA
Hello. I am on Xtandi as last ditch effort after Zytiga and Pluvicto eventually failed. After starting I have declining PSA but dramatically rising ALP. Any thoughts on what this means? Thanks all.

ADT IS DONE. NEXT?
Lupron and Zytiga will have completed 2 years of each in June. I've read some continue Lupron for 3 years or longer. How do you know how long to take? Monitor testosterone and PSA how often? 2 or 3 months?

The Existence of the Oligometastatic State in Prostate Cancer (and other cancers)
Members of the FPC Forum: I submit to you that either I am a Prophet/Visionary, or I am a Fool, but I state clearly... and emphatically...that the oligometastatic state exists in Prostate Cancer and other cancers as well..I believe that if we were to sum it up as an equation, that it would be something

Question about tumor markers
Hi there, happy spring to all!! My Mom’s been doing well with trial med in combination with Faslodex monthly. Her blood work has been normal with good liver function. Her tumor marker test (the CA 15-3) test showed in the 350 range. I’m not sure it’s ever been that high but it was in the 150 range

Radio Frequency oral therapy for liver cancer
New FDA approved home therapy for liver growths; small antenna that is kept in the mouth for 1 hour daily. The science is radio frequencies that interact with cancer cells and keep them controlled.

Cancer takes another brave man
My wonderful husband passed away yesterday after fighting the beast for 15 years. Gleason 8 all but one core positive. He was so strong tried so hard, 2 clinical trials radiation, Zytiga, Xofigo, lupron for the entire time. Finally at age 65 his body could take no more, he lost over 40 pounds, no energy

Does this mark the beginning of castration resistance?
Hi all, I have been quietly reading all of your posts and comments in the background since my dad's diagnosis with Stage IV adenocarcinoma (Gleason 9 (4+5)) with distal bone metastases in September 2022. My dad's PSA at diagnosis was 150. He is 64. Since May 2023, dad has been on monthly Degarelix

Diet for ADT
(Duplicate post from Advanced Prostate Cancer). What diet should I be following while on ADT for the next two years? Guidelines from handout sheets are contradictary and unclear. I have been on Orgovyx for almost three months, starting on February 27, 2024. My PSA has dropped from 9.2 to 1.2 to 0.9

Exemestane and Afinitor
Hi everyone I just completed 1 month of Truqap. I had to stop treatment due to a cough and a horrible rash. I had to stay in the ER for 24 hours due to the rash. I am now moving on to Exemestane and Afinitor. I would so appreciate any experience that anyone has had on these 2 meds. I’m mostly interested
