Lupron 12 vs. 18 Months
This is a follow-up to a post I made in January of this year. I was diagnosed at age 50, Gleason score 3+4 (10% pattern 4), highest PSA of 10.1, high-risk Decipher 0.84, PI, and some evidence of ECE. I was PSMA-negative. I started Lupron and was treated at UCLA in late October 2023 with SBRT on the MRIdian

Do not trust your first bone scan
If you are diagnosed with prostate cancer and get a bone scan, this will often reveal a few bone metastases. Then your MO will give you the verdict: lifelong ADT. Usually you will not get radiation or surgery of the prostate because the tumor has already spread. However, there is a study by Dr. Thomas

What clinic trials have been successful?
My husband's next oncologist appointment is tomorrow. PSA is at 74. It has been a roller coaster ride since March 2017. Prostate removed with many complications in hospital. Was there for 2 weeks, which should have been 2 days. Was weak for several months after. Follow up appointment 3 months later

Has anyone tried Celadrin or Glucosamine Sulphate for Fibro?
Hi, I recently read an article about someone with fibromyalgia who said Celadrin cream really helped them with their stiff muscles. I then did some reading of my own about it and found that celadrin works best when combined with glucosamine sulphate. Has anyone tried either of these for their fibro?

How fast?
I have a serious question for the group. How fast does Prostate Cancer progress? Let’s use two scenarios. Intermediate unfavorable to aggressive. The reason I ask why is because I’m seeing men diagnosed with PSA’s in the 500’s to 1000’s & incidentally it was found through a routine blood test” with

Comparing PSA Response With Apalutamide vs Enzalutamide in mCSPC
Treatment with apalutamide (Erleada) induced a deeper and earlier prostate-specific antigen (PSA) response compared with enzalutamide (Xtandi) in androgen receptor synthesis inhibitor-naive patients with metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC), according to findings from a real-world

lupron vacation
I’ve been on lupron now for three and a half years. My PSA has been undetectable since last November. I asked my OC about going on a lupron vacation and he said it would be fine now to try it. Just wondering if any of you have experienced this and how long before you had to go back on lupron. I’m 16

"Brain fog"
Some of you men in this forum speak of "brain fog"from prostate cancer meds. I'd like to know specifically how you would describe that. In particular, are there memory issues? I have enough memory loss to concern me. My pc drugs are: Lupron and Darolutamide. But I also take Lithium Carbonate, Lamotrigene

Intravenous C
I was reading this short report (our BAT friends are involved) thinking it showed real promise for C, then in conclusion they say no. Agreed the p values are high, the CIs are wide, but the results were so lopsided that to me it merely means the trial was underpowered and C is worth a try. High-Dose

Reason for a 2nd Opinion of your Prostate Biopsy Report .
As the resuly of my rising PSA of 7.3 , I have been on Dutasteride for 4 yars for BPH , I proceeded to have a Tesla 3.0 Prostate MRI which showed an increased T2 Signal plus a PI - RADS 5 . highly suspicious of cancer . Following a 5 Core Transperineal MRII Fusion Biopsy ( All cores in the target

Newly diagnosed Gleason 9
Hi all, I recently had my prostate taken out and got upgraded to Gleason 9, T3b, seminal vessel and extra prosthetic extension with positive margins but no lymph nodes. I am 56, very fit, and will get my first post operative PSA in September. My pre-op was 9.5. I know a lot of people on this forum

What defines “stable disease” in Advanced PCa?
My dad just had his first PSMA Pet Scan after completing 6 rounds of docetaxel. We visit the MO next week to discuss results. I can see the results and while none of the tumors have gone away there are many references to “persistent but improving” to describe his metastasis. This has made me wonder

Lupron and apalutamide have kept my T and PSA under control for several years. Late last year my PSA began to rise and I changed from RO (11 years in her care) to an MO. He told us that standard of care was Docetaxel, so even though I had no real symptoms for all this time we agreed. Unfortunately, we

Doublet Therapy for Metastatic Prostate Cancer
Hi all - Curious if anyone here was prescribed doublet therapy for metastatic prostate cancer? My dad, 73 (Initial PSA 151, Gleason 9, 4 small mets to pelvis, spine, tailbone) had an appointment today, and his MO indicated that he would like to proceed with doublet therapy. I wasn't aware he would
