Lupron and apalutamide have kept my T and PSA under control for several years. Late last year my PSA began to rise and I changed from RO (11 years in her care) to an MO. He told us that standard of care was Docetaxel, so even though I had no real symptoms for all this time we agreed. Unfortunately, we were involved in a very serious car crash which put me back 6 months. Three treatments in my PSA has steadily risen, leveled off briefly and now went from 68 to 91 in the last three weeks. I was given the option (not advised) to take treatment #4 tomorrow. We decided to go ahead. I have bone and CT scans on the 23rd of this month and then decide on steps forward. If we quit the Docetaxel next up is Carbazataxel (?). Am I on the right track? Second opinion time? Any thoughts will be appreciated.

A new trial (PRESIDE) found that by combining chemo with Xtandi, the Xtandi will work again even if it has previously failed. I expect the same would be true if apalutamide failed:
