Is it normal???? 🤔
OK so I'm coming up to my 2 year lungaversary! I had a single lung transplant and my other lung completely removed. I am suffering extreme pain in both sides today to the point it has brought tears to my eyes. I want to know if this sort of pain is normal so long after a transplant?

Lung Transplant outcomes differences between Transplant Centers
Hello I would like to ask if when being referred for transplant did the respiratory consultant offer a choice in the transplant center. The reason I ask is there appear to be large differences in transplant outcomes particularly 5 and 10 year survival rates between centers. I was researching on the NHS

Not sure how to feel!
15 months ago I was rejected by Papworth for a lung transplant as they said my oesophagus was too damaged and I wouldn’t survive the operation!!! Obviously, this initially felt like a death sentence as I felt that was it. Although the thought of going through a lung transplant scares the **** out of

lung cancer in soft tissue
My husband had kung cancer four years ago. It is back in the other lung and also in what the doctor says is in soft tissue. He said he didn't know what that meant. He has severe emphysema and his oxygen needs are very high. He will have a pet scan to determent if the cancer is anywhere else. The Doctor

Pet scan results.
Good morning peeps! I know I said I would share my pet results but I’ve had to take a little time to absorb it all myself. We were expecting bad news but sometimes you’re just not prepared for what you’re going to hear. That was the case here when they told me I was 100% CANCER FREE! Holy moly I wasn

Lung Cancer
Hi recently diagnosed with lung cancer and pleural infusion, this is slowly reducing via a drain. Have started immunotherapy as cancer is not curable but treatment will hopefully give more time. The amount of emotions racing through your mind are hard to cope with at times, I must admit.

My husband could benefit from some prayers
I haven't posted in a while but my husband can use some prayers. He was non-operable 2 years ago due to location of his lung cancer. He went through 2 types of chemo and radiation. They both failed. He was started on Opdivo but since has developed 5 new areas one near collar bone, another in lung and

Pathos Report from Transurethral Urinary Bladder Tumor Resection
Finishing the surgery, my urologist thought the bladder tumors were entirely superficial and it shouldn’t affect my status for getting a lung transplant (the parameters are cancer free, smoke free for at least two years). Turns out some were low grade, but some were high grade (actively growing). Very

Hello, I was recently 2 months ago diagnosed with a rare lung cancer, getting palative care with radiation and possible immunotherapy drug. Been in the hospital for over 2 months now, cant wait to get out. Came here to learn what I can, see how others are doing and see if there are other forms of treatment

Help please - bras post surgery
Hello, I was diagnosed with lung cancer a couple of weeks ago and I’ve just come out of hospital after an operation to get biopsies to determine exactly what type of cancer it is. I can’t wear my bras - even comfy non-wired ones - because they fit very close to the site of the incision and drains etc

Surgery May Send Me to the Back of the Queue.
The Transurethral Urinary Bladder Tumor Resection I had last Wednesday may impede my standing for a lung transplant. The pulmonologist upon learning of this diagnosis said in order to be on the donor waiting list, you have to be cancer free for at least two years. However, the urologist said the tumors

Scan done but Tech asked if I had lung surgery?
I hate these scans. The Tech asked if I had lung surgery? I did have my port removed but that’s not in my lung. I’m so scared I called the Oncologist. Of course they just said that they have not heard anything from Radiology. Said they would call if they heard anything. I hate acting this way but I know

Diabetes and lung transplant
Hi does anyone on the transplant list have diabetes? Or post transplant with diabetes before transplant? My husband is waiting on an assessment appointment but today found out that he may have diabetes, really worried that this may mean he in not suitable for transplant.
