Oregon Patients Access to Best Care May Be Denied. Call to Action
This is a copy of a blog written by my friend Janet Freeman-Daly. It’s important that they locate patients who can testify as to how genomic sequencing has improved or saved their lives. This will affect every type of cancer so if you know someone else who has benefited please let them know ******

Metastatic Lung Cancer.
Two years ago I was diagnosed with Metastatic Lung Cancer (original site: oral) but, to date, I have shown no physical deterioration. Anyone else in a similar position ? The uncertainty is driving me crazy. The Consultants have advised me that it will "attack" eventually. It's the waiting and not knowing

Are you willing to talk to the press about treatment options?
hello all We have had a request from a pharmaceutical company regarding a possible press interview next week. They are looking for someone who has had lung cancer and perhaps has had surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy. You would be interviewed by the press (most likely newspaper journalist) regarding

Radiation dilemma! IMRT vs Proton
Hi, I have another radiation question if anyone has any opinions or help that would be greatly appreciated! The mapping is complete now for my dad and the tumor next to his heart causing the SVC syndrome. The verdict came back that on paper it shows IMRT would be slightly less radiation to the heart

National organ donation week
Well it's national organ donation week and I have had the opportunity to be a recipient of a single lung transplant in November 2016. I'm doing great!! And all because a very kind family agreed for their loved one to donate their organs. I'm eternally grateful for the second chance at life with my daughter

Proton therapy
With the help of several people on here (you all are great!!) I urged my dad to push for proton therapy over the IMRT that was suggested for chest tumor. We did last week and tomorrow he is set to begin mapping for proton therapy to the chest tumor (4.9 cm) by his heart! I anticipated this would move

A Milestone that Shouldn't Be!
Today is my 60th birthday. I have been thinking about all it has taken to get through to this day. In 2002 the prognosis was less than good that I would make it to the 5 year mark. It is 4 cancers later, and I am still kicking up my heels and fighting! While this is a big milestone, I would like to remind

Your Voices, Part 4: Your emotions and your diagnosis
A lung cancer diagnosis can trigger a range of emotions. These emotions are important to discuss, but it can be difficult to find people who understand. Finding the right support is a vital step in many people’s lung cancer journeys. Over the past few months, HealthUnlocked has been conducting research
