Happy anniversary?
It was exactly 1 year ago that I got my first elevated PSA test that started my prostate cancer experience (I don’t like to say “Journey”). Details in my comic. (http://burnscomic.com) After that, I had another PSA test (still elevated a month later), a pelvic MRI (showing pi-rads 5 areas), then a

Hrt advice
Good morning I started Trazodone in April and unfortunately this too affects my restless legs . I’ve taken dopamine pills for years for my symptoms and feel this has contributed to me feeling depressed. I’ve been clear of these awful pills for a long time and now take Gabapentin . I’m considering

ADT’s effectiveness and reason for limited success of chemo on prostrate cancer
I was wondering why they don’t just give chemo for Prostrate cancer irrespective of hormone sensitivity. Chemotherapy drugs destroy all rapidly dividing cells (even hair) so why would prostrate cancer cells be spared? I was trying to understand if ADT really kills PC cells or just makes them hibernate

Problem with EBV
Hi all I have active EBV, but I can't take Lysine because it reduces my sleep-5,6 hours and I sleep very poorly by waking up several times during the night. My question is, is there anything else that can successfully replace Lysine. I've tried taking Valtrex, but I'm even worse off it, because it's

palliative radiation treatment questions
In my prior (first) post, I shared about my 82 year old father’s condition. Thanks for all the helpful and thoughtful responses from this community. He has gone off Goserelin (ADT) injection and now just on bicalutamide pills. As his testosterone seems to have returned, he’s now having more energy

PSA holding low!!
Hi all, I just want to give notice to everyone :-) that the PSA is still at a low level after almost 3 years of ADT. So it was 0.03 in July last year. In January it fell to 0.01 and now it went up meaningless, I hope, to 0.02. Good health to everyone!

Xtandi and Intermittent
I started Xtandi 2 months ago and got PSA undetectable. <.001. Now, my doctor suggest me to reduce from 4 tablets per say to 3 tablets per day. A month ago, I say "no", reasoning that reduction of the amount may create an early resistance to Xtandi. But he is persistent. He said no necessarily.

adt prior to radiation treatment
The urologist wants to use Lupron prior to radiation treatment and I am wondering if I should insist on Orgovyx instead. Are there studies I can go into my appointment with to support?

Kliovance
I started Kliovance a couple of weeks ago. I've been menopausal for 8.5 years and finally caved in to taking HRT as I was fed up with brain fog coming and going. My head is a little clearer but I'm easily upset and grumpy. I'm also repulsed by sex (before taking the tablets I just couldn't be bothered

Testosterone after ADT?
My pre-ADT testosterone was 620. Now, after four months of ADT (and radiation), it's 9. My ADT prison sentence ends September 31 (Orgovyxx). A couple guys at my gym have offered to hook me up starting in November to get my T back up quickly. I know doctors will say this is not a good idea, but is there

Remedy that works for me
Hi guys. Haven't been on here in a long time but recently I seem to have come across a combination of meds & supplements that really seem to have worked for me. So I've had IBS for over 30 years (mainly IBS C but regular episodes of IBS D too) and more or less managed it for many years, up until entering
