For the last month or two I have noticed my 8yr ( has BD & Joint hyper mobility Syndrome) complaining more and more of feeling sick?
Is this the norm? Sometimes accompanied by lots of stopping pains - heart, joint , head - on colchicine, and pizotifen , ibuprofen and sometimes steroids. We have had a good run - three weeks without any ulcers, but she is showing signs of a flare coming ..

Any recommendations for Headaches during a flare?
Hi All, I have recently been diagnosed with Behcets after 5 years of investigations and thinking I had Crohns Disease. I am now on Colchicine twice a day and also anti-sickness tabs among a lot of other meds to protect my stomach. The colchicine has been amazing for the last year however last week

Pain relief for gout
My 45yr old husband has just been diagnosed with severe gout in his hands, wrists, elbows and really bad in his ankles. His gp gave him a very strong 3day course of colchicine tablets which did help, but it flared up again a few days after finishing the course. He is now on 1 colchicine aday and naproxin

Diagnosed during my first episode?!
I'm a 42 year old woman in the U.S. and I just received a probable Behcet's diagnosis yesterday. Prior to Christmas Day, I'd never had anything like this, but managed to wind up with the hallmark symptoms except for vision problems since then (huge mouth/genital ulcers and EN along with arthritic pain

Hello, I am on colchicine for suspected Metiterranean fever and cannot come off it as it causes severe pericarditis and other complications. I am planning a pregnancy this year and have worked with a number of hospitals due to my rare diseases and the risk of taking colchicine during a pregnancy. It

Finally after having quiet a lot of BD symptoms and helping my daughter Jaida finally diagnosed 2 years ago, I'm on colchice.
I feel just so much better. It's amazing how I got use to feeling rotten. Quite a while ago someone posted about if their parents had BD or symptoms. I was one of the parents that had been quite ill at the age of 17 years and never got over it. I was told the usual, glandular fever joint pain and the

Hitting the treatment glass ceiling....
Hello there everyone, Apart from having a tough couple of weeks I have also been pondering over what to do next following my recent out-patient appointment. Between 2010 and 2012 my brother was taken ill which meant living temporarily away from home and because of this I missed my usual outpatient

Behcet's disease (20 year old female)
Hi, I'm new to this posting but I'm 20 and got diagnosed with this disease about 5 months ago after suffering a cerebral venous sinus thrombosis in September last year. This led me to be hospitalised as I suffered complete left sided paralysis as a result of the thrombosis. I have always had mouth ulcers

NEURO BECHET'S
Hi everyone, I would really appreciate hearing from anyone on here who has neuro bechet's. I went to see my rheumy today, who specialises in bechet's. She is a lovely person but because I don't really get many ulcers if any she wasn't very concerned. I saw a neurologist last year, he said my symptoms

I.V. steroid injections? Anyone?
Hello everyone, I am in desperate need of finding a new treatment plan that may give me a chance at having decreased swelling and pain. I'm not even counting on full remission anymore, as I just don't see it happening for me because it's been 4 years that I've been so sick that I've had to give up

Remicade, Imuran, Colchicine
I will start Remicade soon and my doctor plans to stop my Imuran and colchicine about the same time. However, I have heard that some Behcet's patients have remained on their immunosuppresants while using the Remicade. Is this a subjective decision by my doctor or is he just not following protocol (
