Hey guys, I have been on colchicine tablets now for close to a month. I'm on 1 tablet twice a day. My genital ulcers have cleared up, however they did so without the use of the medication, i still have recurring mouth ulcers that seem to go away, but as soon as they do another one pops up. Any reason

Hi everyone I have been put on the anti- inflammatory Colchicine to treat the Lupus Chest Pain. I would love to read your experiences with taking it, did it help? and did you get sickness and diorrhea?. If so did it settle within a few days or did you have to come off the drug?. Many thanks, keep well

Hi Christine, Jjlinden and everyone whose help has meant so much. Early hours of Thursday my husband was in agony with gout. He took the dreaded colchicine 4 tablets on Thursday and 2 on Friday. Definite diagnosis of SLE.
I saw my rheumy today and have at last got a definite diagnosis. It IS lupus but he told me it is mild in my case. I take 400mg hydroxy and have done so since November last year and it has really helped enormously but I keep getting pleurisy and episcleritis which my gp has treated with a 5 day course

Krill oil for arthralgia
My 20 yr old daughter is about to be put on Methotrexate. However a friend of mine recommended taking Krill oil for arthritis (although my daughter only has acute pain, no swelling) which might stop the need for a drug change. Has anyone else done this and are there any side effects? She already takes

Infliximab or Humira
It's probably 6 months since my last post. I'd like to thank everyone who replied. I initially asked if anyone was still being prescribed Thalidomide and where in the country you lived. Since then I've taken advice from my Rheumatologist and, since last April, have tried a series of other immunosuppressants

What is the treatment for Sweet's syndrome?
The main form of treatment for Sweet's syndrome is the steroid (corticosteroid), prednisone. After steroids, first-line treatments include colchicine and potassium iodide. They can be given instead of or alongside steroid medication. Second-line treatments include indomethacin, clofazimine, ciclosporin

Probable Behcets
I have just been discharged by the rheumatologist after 5 years with a probable Behchets diagnosis. Probable because I have from time to time oral and vaginal ulcers, acne and joint pain, not necessarily all together and without the presence of definite vasculitis or eye involvement. It doesn't compartment
