Hi guys, diagnosed 19 years ago. Still struggling with it. Doctor won't supply my mercaptopurine as it's so expensive. Coping on colchicine alone. Sorry it's a miserable status but feeling very low xx

Hi I've been taking Colchicine now since about 40 years ago. Today im feeling pain in my feet and hands. The orthopedic I saw today is kind of blaming it on the long term intake of Colchicine. Could this be possible? Anyone with FMF taking Colchicine can help pls? Thx a lot.

Behcet's and diet?
Hello, I was given the diagnosis of Behcet's about 6 months ago, AFTER years of doctors visits, rounds of steroids, debilitating pain and fatigue, and just a general malaise for most of my young adult life. I've been on colchicine for about a year, which seems to help. I've still gotten flare ups, however

Neutrophil - low white blood cell count

Gout and possible Tophi
Hi there everyone I am posting about my husband. He gets gout attacks periodically (which he has managed until now with diet and exercise, only getting attacks when his routine is messed up and he accidentally eats more gouty foods than his exercise allows for, if that makes any sense!). He also

What helps me during flares...
I thought I'd take this opportunity to share what helps me with this community. When I have a bad canker sore outbreak there are usually 2-4 directly on my tonsils. Tonsillitis is essentially inflammation and irritation so I think I get that too on top of a flare. When I get mouth ulcers like that..

Ankles and Feet + medications/alternatives
I have read a few posts where people have bad issues with ankles and feet and I am one of those people, I was wondering what people are doing to relieve this situation, I started swimming, as recommended by rheumatologist, and had too stop because my ankles at the joint became very painful so I am not

Colchicine and Simvastatin
Does anyone take Colchicine and Atorvastatin? I take Colcicine 500 micrograms twice daily. I have just been prescribed Atorvastatin for high Cholesterol but was warned by my pharmacist that there was a dangerous drug interaction between these two medications. My Dr says the risk is low but I've read

Full diagnosis.
My 10 year old daughter got the full diagnosis of BD a couple of weeks ago after 7 years of testing. She started with symtoms at the young age of 4 and has been in and out of manchester hospital since. I have been able to control her symptoms to an extent with a diet that excludes wheat, dairy and gluten
