Apixaban
Hi, I've just been prescribed apixaban and bisoprolol due to AF, I'm a bit worried to take apixaban due to the change of lifestyle you need to take, am I getting overly concerned or is there precautions I need to take, also we like to have many continental holidays yearly and I've read some travel insurance

Back in sinus rhythm
I posted last week about return of AF following a lung cancer operation. The GP (in UK) increased Bisoprolol from 5 mg to 7.5 mg and after a week I am back with a steady heart rate and rhythm.

I got impetigo and I’m due to get my Covid booster
hi all, hope you are all enjoying the nice weather although from indoors. I was going to the gym up to last week and since Tuesday I got impetigo in my face. At first I thought it was a cold sore but I don’t usually have cold sores and this was itchy and had a runny liquid so I went to the pharmacy and

Colds/flu/viruses and Thyroxine
Just wondering is there any link to having Hashimotos and not having any colds/flu/viruses. The reason I ask is that I never got sick, with the usual colds etc for many years. I just started thyroxine a few months ago. Now I have a really horrible virus, coughing, temperature, flu like symptoms. This

liver resection - nearly 3 years on
hi, I had my liver resection in sept 2020 due to a large liver adenoma (tumour) inside that had ruptured (unknown to me that it existed). Nearly 3 years on, I still get so much pain around my scar which is all the way across my abdomen. In the last few months, my pain has been particularly bad around

Pvcs and pacs following acute afib episode and Apple watch ecg/ekg
Following my first (confirmed) afib attack a month ago(with rvr) I seem to have an occasional flip flop or thud and flutter from my heart. Cardiologist and EP discontinued my beta blocker after 10 days because my HR is already low and the flip flopping came a few days later. Yesterday I discovered

Laxido and acid reflux
I swear every time I take this stuff I end up with really bad regurgitation and heartburn. Coincidence? I am on other medications.

I don't know what to do :(
I've been taking B12, vitamin D,
cod
liver
oil
, cut out dairy, gluten, etc. I used to be really active (running 3 times a week, martial art for 2 hours 2-3 times a week.) My weight didn't go down but at least I felt good.

Week six post ablation
Hello All, First of all I would like to thank the person or people who wrote those sheets about what to expect after an ablation. No professional gave me any comparable helpful information about how I might feel afterwards. Anyway, this is week six and I’m worried that I’m going backwards. This week

Maze + LLA closure?
I've been a forum member for several years with my afib stories. Now, I am scheduled to have open chest triple bypass surgery this January 2nd, a prospect causing much anxiety (not over the procedure, per se, but the lengthy recovery time. Anyway........ The surgeon told me he could give me a bargain

non alcoholic drinks
hi I'm new to all of this so I'm sure this has probably been asked before so apologies. Can I ask peoples advice/opinions on non alcoholic versions of drinks ie gin, beer etc. are they any better/safer for the liver? I know there’s no alcohol but still concerned there might be other things lurking

I’ve had liver biopsy last week and obviously awaiting those results, but here are the last more recent ones I’m on 5 Mg pred and 50mg aza. I’m not feeling well today

Small pouch or bag
Can anyone recommend a small pouch that would clip on to a belt or one with a strap already on that I can carry a couple of inhalers in and a pulse /0ximeter when I go out, thanks.

Hi. Need to ask this question on current medications. Furosemide (water pill) 40 mg. once per day. Metoprolol (heart pill) 75 mg. twice a day. And Xarelto (blood thinner) 20 mg. once per day. Has anyone experienced any type of anxiety while on these types of AF medications? I occasionally suffer

AF is back after lung cancer operation
I had a successful ablation over 4 years ago and stayed in sinus rhythm until this week. I had an operation 2 weeks ago and this week my Apple Watch detected AF. This has been confirmed by GP. Bisoprolol is increased from 5mg to 7.5 to try to reduce the heart rate. Starting that today. I was warned

Home testing machines
I am new to this group and I have family with afib, I have panic and anxiety with rapid heartbeat but was trying to rule out heart issues. I bought a kardiamobile ekg machine and tried it about 10 times and always got unclassified. My husband tried it and he got normal so it didnt appear to be interference
