Steroid update
I had my depo steroid jab yesterday by a Rheumatoid nurse who was fantastic. She gave me a very thorough examination and really listened to me. Never had that before. She then insisted I had more blood tests and a chest X-ray that day. I thought you only had to have a chest X-ray if you were going to

Then, just as I was getting to wonder if I should start up again, I picked up what the GP described as a "bugger of a chest infection". 2 different lots of antibiotics, inhalers (I'm not asthmatic), ambulance called out, EGC &

Anti VEGF help
Hi there, I wonder if anyone else has had lasting side affects after anti VEGF? During the first injections, I had a feeling of pressure in my right eye but no pain. In my left eye it hurt quite a bit. I was left with blood in the eye for around 5 days, as well as a headache for about a week. The second

Hi all and firstly thank you for all the good advice and support I received in response to my previous post. To recap on 03/09/18 Had been advised by Rheumatologist to cut from 65mg to 30mg. By 10/09/18 I had head pains and was feeling really shaky so I phoned help line and was advised to go for blood

5 month Cough
Hey guys, I've had this terrible cough for about five months now. It doesn't happen when Im sleeping but during the day I'll often cough up phlegm or dry heave from the cough. Castor Oil Packs???
I found this excellent page detailing how to heal your thyroid naturally - most I already do as have been recommended on here and I’m feeling so much better. I’d like to ask if anyone has tried Castor Oil Packs? I’ve heard excellent reviews that they do work and can help detox the liver and help heal

Getting my child diagnosed and treated without doctor
What tests do I need to do for my teenager to rule out pa and can I go ahead and treat her myself as per guidelines . This is my second post today I’m so fed up with incompetent doctors . She has all the symptoms I have and as I am treated with injections I need to know what I can get done as surgery

Help with understanding test results?
Hi everyone. In the last 18 months I have had many strange (and as yet undiagnosed) symptoms. Too many to list on here and not bore you all to death but my main worries are leg pains (intermittent claudication), leg weakness/pain, tingling hands/feet, fast heart rate when walking, left sided chest pain

Really upset and frustrated following a hematologist appointment--any ideas?
Hi all, I've posted on here several times after testing positive for the intrinsic factor antibody a month or so ago. Until then, I had had a year of general fatigue, then 3-4 months of increasingly bad fatigue, cracked corners of my mouth, shortness of breath, inability to exercise, forgetfulness/difficulty

Chest X-ray-inflammation
Hi All. I’ve had a cough and had antibiotics, which didn’t do a lot. Then I got breathless so they tried steroids thinking of asthma but they made me mentally out of sorts so they stopped them. Then I just had a chest X-ray and the report says there are some slight inflammatory changes in the left lung

Pain around heart and shortness of breath anxiety?
So I have being experiencing some days with a bit of chest tightness and shortness of breath for about 2/3 weeks. Up until recently never had any issues (other than ibs) so it was a bit of a concern. I have a couple of times struggled to get a breath and then start panicking, getting hot and struggling

Cirrhosis makes me sleep all day & night -- any remedies?
Hi! I'm new here. I have had NASH for many years and it has now turned into cirrhosis. I have numerous varices, and had a near-fatal episode of bleeding from my varices a few years ago. The varices have responded well to banding, but I am now astonishingly tired. Sleeping 18 to 22 hours a day is not
