Hey everyone, As mentioned previously, my mum is awaiting radiotherapy and has decided to go ahead. She has had a horrendous cough now for nine weeks and had numerous courses of anti biotics, which cannot be great. She is currently taken her third course of cotrimoxazole, which have not done much. I have pushed for my mum to go in for IV antibiotics, hoping it will be better.
When on chemo, she developed neutropenia sepsis which has now effected her blood counts. My mum has developed a rash on the base of her legs, which she has developed before, which went. Please see photo. Has anyone else had this type of rash? Could it be sepsis related again? Any ideas anyone?
Thank you.

Hi Paulo, your mum is really going through it bless her. The rash could well be sepsis related but nobody on here is medically qualified to say that l’m afraid. She really needs to be seen by a doctor.
I hope her cough will clear up and things improve very soon. Thinking of your dear mum. Xxx🙏🏻❤️
So sorry to hear that your dear mum is having such a rough time at the moment.
I’m very sorry but I’m not much help to you either as I never had any reactions like your mum is sadly having after I had my chemotherapy.
I suggest you contact your GP surgery or take your mum to A&E and get medically qualified Drs and staff to check her out just to be on the safe side. That is what I would do.
Good luck and I hope your mum will be feeling much better very soon. Xx🙏🙏xx
