Well after being house bound recently after major excision surgery for endo and a hysterectomy for Adeno I finally had found my feet and was enjoying life again 4 months post op. That is until yesterday when I broke my foot 😢 making me housebound again. I didn't sleep well at all last night due to pain

Norethisterone - Honest Opinion?
I visited my Drs again this morning after my 13th day of irregular bleeding. Due a phone call Friday for a choose and book appointment but struggling with pain and bleeds. Its really getting me down. I was given Co-Dydramol but pretty much used all of it up. I have now been prescribed Norethisterone

Tramadol
Still having pain after my period finished 5 days ago so I went back to the doctor today and have been prescribed Tramadol (on top of the co-codamol and ibupofen)! What is everyone's experience of tramadol? I have never had it before and am a bit concerned about the side effects etc. My other concern

I have been diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis for some time. I have been treated with mefanmic acid, tranesamic acid, I have had a coil, an ablation, I was given Prostap injections followed by Tibilone for the side effects. During the Prostap injections it was great but now, all treatments

UPDATE, AND NOW HAVE A RASH
Just thought I would give an update. I rang my Doctor's surgery yesterday to see if the results were back following chest x-ray I had week last Thursday, due to cough and breathlessness following increase of Methotrexate. I was told the results are not back yet and will be at least another week. Just

How can I manage
At last my appointment is getting close, been waiting since April. I've been told that I have to stop taking all pain killers at least 48 hrs before my appointment so they can get a true blood test. I'm on Naproxen 500mg twice a day & co-codamol 30/500 up to 4 times a day. Just don't know if I will

Recent fall
Update to nomoreheels. I got a call to say my G.p wanted to see me re x ray, well just got back. He confirmed I have a fracture in my big toe near the joint but not in it so that is good. Got to strap it to the next one and keep bandage on round the toe and foot. Also to stay off work and keep it elevated

Advice I have been given for viral meningitis
Dear VM friends, I have posted many times on here and many of you will know I had VM 15 months ago now and I have suffered severe headaches / head pain/ migraines ( they have been called many things by doctors ) during this time. The crushing pain actually dislocated a vertebrae in my neck, collapsing

Ankle fusion, tendon transfer and first metatarsal raise.
Hello, hoping for some good advice (of course!) and relay of experiences re the above. I have just seen a very highly recommended ortopeadic consultant for the first time ever and the above operation has been recommended due to the nature of my inward heel/out turned ankle. It has reached a 'tipping

Inflammatory Arthritis - My Diagnosis?
From what I can see Inflammatory Arthritis is an umbrella term, and can cover several diseases, so I'm non the wiser really. My Rheumatologist came to this diagnosis after my ultrasound highlighted inflammation in both my hands and wrists. She also said I have some ana in my blood, but could not sure

Hello I have just been reading that plaquenil can cause insomnia and nightmares which I suffer with. I take my plaquenil with my evening meal. When is the best time to take it? Would it be best in the morning? I also take in the morning thyroxine, omeprazole and co-codamol, would it interfere with

NEXT STEP - PAINFUL
Hi everyone, hope you are having a good day. Just thought I would give an update. Haven’t managed to get in to work today, feeling very tired and sore after having my joints squeezed, bent and twisted every way yesterday. Saw my Rheumatology Nurse and was so pleased for this appointment as I am beginning

Frustration!
Went to see my specialist today, have to say have come away even more confused than ever. I currently take hydroxychloroquine which doesn't have any effect on my pain so was put on a tapered course of prednisolone for a month which also had no effect and finished last week. My CRP levels are still elevated

what meds can I ask Dr for with so many conditions?
I need painkillers off dr and she doesnt want me on more than paracetamol. Co codamol is contraindicated in emphysema. I do not believe it is unsafe for me to take every kind of painkillers nhs can offer. So am asking for names of painkillers please. I will check all info presented and then discuss
