My story starts about 35 years ago when I was aged 11, I was rushed into hospital with severe headache, vomiting, photophobia and neck stiffness. I was kept in isolation overnight and although I can't

Help please, my usual go to food of rice and chicken gave me bad stomach pains last night!
I'm new to this site so still finding my way around. I was diagnosed with IBS a few years ago after a bout of diarrhoea and a normal colonoscopy and it hadn't been too bad until last year when I had my gallbladder removed. A few days later the IBS flared up and has been pretty bad ever since then.

Hi everyone, hope you are feeling ok. I have been catching up reading posts and thought I would just give an update. I had a lovely time in the Lake District and the weather was kind to us. I felt quite well most of the week and had a nice relaxing time, just walked short distances and didn't overdo

New - any help much appreciated..
Hi there, Sorry to start my first post by looking for help but am getting increasingly desperate. I'm a married man of 43, I was in quite a physical job when I had an attack of sciatica 7 years ago. To cut a long story short - I had to give up working. I've been in pretty much constant pain in back,

How do you cope with pain?
Over the last year I have been experiencing increasing pqin in legs and feet aside from usual neuropathic pain. This is cramping of leg muscles and feet if I take a few steps, only partially relieved with rest. Tried quinine and gabapentin to no avail and only pred seems to relieve it. Also started

Headaches with apixiban
Hi I've been taking apixiban for 5 weeks now. Have the worst headaches I've ever experienced that started 3 weeks ago. I'm taking high strength co codamol and nurofen around the clock to combat them but I'm still in agony. This is night and day. I came off apixiban 4 days ago and was changed to clexane

Showing all the symptoms of Polymyalgia, still waiting to be officially diagnosed after 4 months of unbearable pain
I started having severe pain in my arms, shoulders and fingers in May. Saw GP after 4 weeks as the pain began to spread. She immediately said Polymyalgia, which I had never heard of. Had two negative blood tests, she then decided it was Osteoarthritis and prescribed Naproxen, which didn't touch the

I really need some help. I've suffered with anxiety since I was 13 years old, depression since 16 years old, suicidal thoughts and self harm since 18 years old and I'm now 20, and I've developed OCD with symptoms of Bipolar disorder too. I've been through 5 years of CBT, psychotherapy, drug rehabilitation

Asthma and living with it
I woke up one night when I was 14 and couldn't breathe. Over the years I was in and out of hospital, on various inhalers and steroids when needed. I managed to get by, have three children, then in 1991 after the birth of my last child I had really bad attack. I was put on steroids to get me back to

My Experience with PMR & Steroids.
This is my story with PMR and Prednisone. I am 58 years young and on 26th January 2015 I was scheduled for a pre-planned op on my foot to remove my bunion. This was in fact how I stumbled on this brilliant website and joined the Hallux Valgus (Bunions) forum. In December 2014 I had to attend the pre

Hi all, hoping someone on here can help. I was diagnosed with endo over 2 years ago. Had the lap to laser as much as they could and then a string of injections and pills to try and curb it a little without much success. I've been taking microgynon back to back for the last 5 months and felt great
