I have been taking MTX for past 17 weeks ( last 2 weeks by injection) for treatment of uveitis. But I see no change in the inflammation and the recent FFA reveals that the inflammation is active . Do I need to wait more or will the rhumetalogist add another DMARD ( or even biologicals ) to speed up the

Effect of thyroid dysfunction on N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide levels: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Papers regarding the impact of inappropriate thyroid hormone levels keep coming out. It would be a miracle if endocrinologists showed any evidence of having read them. And incorporated the lessons into their practices. [i]

my doctor ask me if I would be interested in going into phase 3 clinical trials for macular degeneration gene therapy. Has anyone on this forum been in a clinical trial or what is your opinion?

Hi everyone, I experienced post partum psychosis and had to be hospitalized for one month. Since then I have experienced post partum depression and am slowly recovering from that emotionally (not having passive suicidal thoughts,) but I am finding I am having a hard time organizing my thoughts and problem

Statins
I just finished watching - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MSNUjQt0u0 I find it fascinating that doctors are aware that statins don't work on dialysis patients, even the KDIGO guidelines say not to prescribe them, and yet doctors still will go ahead and lower LDL using statins. I know I am on one .

travaprost (Travatan) side effect
I have started Travatan drops nightly for ocular hypertension, high pressure in eyes. Had 4 doses so far. They are causing painful sensitivity to light overnight and in the morning. It has slowly decreased over an hour or two but until then it is painful and distressing. Will this improve over time

Hi all, I’ve just had my latest results through from Monitor my Health and I was wondering If anyone could shine a light on them for me please? I’m still waiting for my vitamin results from my GP. But I’ll post them as soon as they arrive. I have Hashimotos and am gluten free, vegetarian ( not vegan

Vasculitis of the eye
I have vasculitis of the eye and have steroid implants in the eye. Now the ozurdex implant is wearing away and the oedema is back in the eye. The immunosuppressant ( metothexrate) which is I was using for 16 weeks has not managed to stop the oedema. Till ozurdex was present, oedema was at bay. Now that

Hello
Well, not sure where to start or what to say as I've never done this before. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression many years ago and have been through the evolution of meds over those many years. I don't think any have really done much for me, at least I never felt like they did. I am currently

Can I have Friends??
Having social anxiety make worse to make friends. I really have noone to talk. I feel so lonely and depressed. I have tried to make friends but ended up being alone. Leaving all the mess of my life aside; Right now what I really need is a friend. Someone to talk with.

ANTIBIOTICS AND EYLEA INJECTION ARE THEY COMPATIBLE?
I may have to have a course of antibiotics from my dentist at the same time or close to an Eylea injection. Is this OK or can they affect each other? Should there be a time space between? Many thanks in advance
