T3 lower, TSH much higher after T3/T4 time-release - take T3 only, or T3 with levo?
Hi all, I'm from the U.S. but find info here great so wonder if you could advise what I should do next. Main question is, should I take T3 (5 mcg.) only to flush out RT3? Or take the T3 in addition to my old T4 levothyroxine, and if so, 75 mcg. of the T4 or just take 37.5 mcg (1/2 tab)? This was first

Hypothyroidism - causes
Hi, Does anyone know whether Hypothyroidism is always caused by Hashimoto's? My last TSH reading done by GP was 5.75. I had a MediChecks test done which showed one set of antibodies (TGAb) as quite high (331) but TPO, which is the only one the NHS looks at, was fine. I haven't had surgery or any

Hi I'm feeling really unwell at the moment, I take 50mcg Levo from 150mcg diagnosed hypothyroid in 2012. I'm tired, toes going cold and numb even indoors, hard stool, periods getting longer and heavier, feeling cold, shivering internally, losing hair. Advice welcome on latest bloods. Thankyou JAN

What is a normal level of TPO antibodies?
I saw that on my test result, I have TPO antibodies of 9, which means I don't have Hashimoto's (since lab ranges says it needs to be >36 to have Hashi). But what I don't understand is: if you have some level of TPO anti, isn't your body already attacking the thyroid then? Why does it have to be 36

Selenium/Inositol & TSH
I have got a bit of a stupid question! I am considering supplementing with Selenium & Inositol as there have been studies that it lowers TPO antibodies and TSH. However, my TSH is 0.027 so doesn't need to be any lower so what would happen? Would it be dangerous in any way?

Hi folks I have PA, 47 yr old female. Had PA for 4 years but probably a lot longer. On b12 plus si. Went to GP and asked for TSH and Thyroid Peroxidase antibody test- results in TSH 5.24 and positive for antibodies. Can you tell me what to expect from GP and does this mean I have Hashimoto's? As note

Why does TSH
Hi- I’ve been working with my doctor and endo for 9 months now. About 2 years ago TSH stopped being produced. I’ve been on thyroid therapy for about 8 years - NDT for 6 of those eight - I was on NDT 120 mg when suddenly my FT4 dropped below range and my TSH went below range. The endo insisted I go on

Interactive thyroid symptom? Or not
Hello, My toilet habits are quite regular at the min, and have a lot of flatulence which I think might be due to the vitamin c I've been taking just recently, but every 5 days or so for the last 2 weeks I've had very bad explosive watery stools (sorry) I'm no way constipated which I though was one of
