Psychiatrist fired daughter as patient over thyroid! (Or maybe because of her pushy mom regarding thyroid...)
We are in the US. We had a follow up appointment with the psychiatrist last week for my teen daughter. He has made no medication adjustments in over 5 months...just wants to keep things as they are. Her mood has been *more* stable, but she still has some periods of hypomania, and the depression isn't

A little clarification please :)
Good evening! So! I have been reading and researching but would love someone just to give me a really brief layman's terms summary. My thyroid is underactive. I am also showing some signs of something autoimmune. I have a rash on my face and am awaiting an appointment with the dermatologist to rule out

Hashimotos / Hypothyroidism and Cholesterol - Should I be concerned?
Hi everyone. This community is great, and I'm happy to have found it. Some of you may recall I posted a couple months ago and shared my blood levels. I have been told I'm hypothyroid / Hashimotos (or borderline heading there). Until recently I have not paid too much attention to my cholesterol levels

Hi does anyone happen to know or have been advised on the following: once one has established one has raised TPO & Tg antibodies ( like me, I am Hashi too) do you need to then test TPO/Tg periodically thereafter? And if you do, are the raised or falling or fluctuating antibody levels indicative of

Hashimoto’s...or not?
Hello Everyone, and many thanks for your continuing support. After a really difficult few months of dramatic dose change, alluded to in previous posts, the senior partner in our GP practice has taken over and on 21.3.19, reluctantly agreed to put me on 100mcg/75mcg Levothyroxine on alternate days.

Blood test results (probably Hashimoto’s)
Hi all, I have suspected Hashimoto’s and a referral for an endocrinologist. But I want to go there informed, so I ask for any insights. Sorry in advance for the ramble - I’m noting down anything that may be of relevance!... there are some test results at the bottom. I have always struggled to keep weight

CAN STATINS CAUSE THYROID PROBLEMS?
Hi All I posted here 3 weeks ago that a short 12 week course of statins from Jan 17 ending in April 17 gave me muscle problems. I have had very many investigations (biopsy, Mri, Emg, CK bloods) and all have been 'normal' However, the muscle problems have not only persisted but progressed. The rheumatologist

Diet/supplement changes for 2019
I feel I got to a point of being a but "stuck" over the last couple of months - with no obvious vitamin/mineral deficiencies I had got my TSH down to 2.7 over a 2 year period (started at 30) and T3/T4 all look in the right ranges. I have not checked TPO for a long time - will do so over the next few
