I just had a smear, my stomach and periods are really problematic atm. The British dr here suggested thyroid tests. My TSH always comes up normal. Did u say I should check TPO and TgAb Free t3 and t4? My daughter has sent this message. I have Graves and my mother has Hashimoto's. My daughter is in Thailand

Thyroid ultrasound - sonographer or radiologist?
Hi I am finally going ahead with the above and done some ringing around and research. I have a choice of travelling to London for a scan with a sonographer for about £120 (will take 1-1.5 hrs each way door to door I think but cost about £30/40 rtn), or seeing a radiographer at a local private hospital

Is any of this true?
Hi, I’m a 40 year- old hypothyroid male, and I was wondering if someone could clarify a few things for me. I’ve been on a mix of t3 and t4 since 2016. Everything was great at first, but after a year on it, my symptoms returned. The main ones being intermittent constipation, extreme lethargy, and the

GP Limits Levo to 50mcg
Good morning everyone, My new test results have come back 'Normal' but are causing me some worry. Since I began taking Levothyroxine in November, current results show the following changes: TSH has changed from 5.19 to 0.99 (0.10-5.00) and T4 has increased from 11 to 12 (12-23). T3 was only tested

No follow up blood tests
I started on Levo 25mcg in March. I was retested this week and my TSH has come down from 4.28 (0.3 to 4.2) to 1.85. I asked when I should come in for my next blood test and they said no further action. I’m not scheduled for any more blood tests. That’s not right, surely? My TPO antibodies were 246

Help with test results
I’ve recently received some test results that show my TPO Antibodies are very elevated. My other thyroid results are within normal range and I feel fine. Because of the elevated TPO my doctor thinks I have Hashimoto’s Disease. They are his notes on the photo. The complication is 20 years ago I had

T3 and swollen feet/ankles/legs
Just exploring every avenue as my doctors don't seem to be able to find the cause.Has anyone ever had swollen feet/ ankles/ lower legs attributed to liothyronine? My PCP was the one that said it was diabetic neuropathy and prescribed gabapentin which I am now off of-thank God. I believe it's lymphedema

Research on antibodies - what I found out
Hi everyone. I had really elevated antibodies, both TPO and TG antibodies. My TPO antibodies were 400 and my TG antibodies were off the charts (>4000). Anyway, to cut a long story short I have managed to get my TPO antibodies into range by cutting out dairy and gluten entirely. However, my TG antibodies

Should I feel well??
Hi everyone Thank you for reading this post. Long story short, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos about 10 years ago with a TPO reading of 1500 but have never been medicated as I’ve remained euthyroid. My TSH is always below 1 - usually about 0.9. My free T4 and free T3 are always low normal in range
