If you've previously had a positive (over range) antibody result, there's no need to repeat the test, that will confirm Hashi's and even if tested again and result is different you'll still have Hashi's.
If you've previously had in range (negative) results and you want to know if you have Hashi's then you could retest.
Thanks for quick response.
I was wondering if it changes overtime up or down. Not expecting it to be normal!
yes it can go up and down but there is no reason to have it retested, unless you are just curious, you could pay for a test yourself,
Thanks, I'm interested to see if any change in 5 years aware it was very high but I feel fine better than 5 years ago
But, it doesn't make any difference to you what the level is. It doesn't change anything. You didn't feel bad 5 years ago because your antibodies were high, and if you're feeling better now, it's not because the level has gone down. It's not the antibodies that attack the thyroid, if that's what you were thinking. They just come along after an immune system attack on the thyroid to clean up the mess left behind.
