I suffer from mild
claustrophobia
when breathless so the ct room was never going to be pleasant and I don't like being without my glasses cos I am as blind as a bat without them.

I have suffered with Anxiety, Depression and Panic Attacks for many years and just want it to be over, I have had
claustrophobia
and agoraphobia at the same time which was as the result of a trauma that returned from my childhood, I still have not got it under control and when it comes I feel like I

My Intro...
Started the MRI, but little did I know that I had pretty bad
claustrophobia
. They had no provision for administrating Xanax at the place I got them, so I had to stop it.

That is no exaggeration. my body is stiff and often ridgid and does not respond to my mental instructions to move. when I sit down it is hard to get up when I am standing it is hard to sit down when I am lying in bed my husband now has to turn me over. rigidity comes with its own curious form of

Sleeping with the enemy
It's like an internal
claustrophobia
. Since this is a fairly new status for me I am still trying to work out how to handle it more effectively from a mental health perspective.

Low immunity caused by endo? Plus MRI this week!
Slightly worried as I suffer with
claustrophobia
and never had an MRI. (needs must though!). He has said that I either have another course of zoladex (I've had 3 months and the pain is still here), go on the pill until I decide to have a hysterectomy or have my ovaries (plus more) removed soon.

In addition to the copd I gave social anxiety disorder and

I'm not a townie
Oddly even though I knew I was outside I had a real feeling of
claustrophobia
which I've never had before I think it was the combination of running & music and generally being very aware of new surroundings...

Anybody waited ages for a GP to send a private scan referral?
I suffer with
claustrophobia
and need to get a Hypothalamus/Pituitary MRI done on the open scanner in Cheltenham, I contacted my GP on Monday and asked for the referral and although I am willing to pay privately for the scan he still has not done it.

Still suffering from panic attacks due to my claustrophobia and emetophobia
Although, I've been through 3 years of counselling I'm still finding my phobias hard to deal with. The frequency of my panic attacks have decreased but the severity of panic is a lot worse. I have got to the point where I make myself feel sick as I feel I can't get out of somewhere, not brilliant at

What's the best way to combat my fear of claustrophobia when getting a MRI ? I can't bear the thought of closing my eyes as othershave said
I know I will only be in for 20 minutes but this seems like a lifetime and as this is my third MRI I know what to expect but it doesn't get any easier the doctor gave me 2mg diazipam which takes the edge off !but due to my size I'm worried about getting stuck help please!

Claustrophobia
As I think I have mentioned on here before I have got increasingly claustrophobic since my emphysema showed up. The problem I have here is that is wifey's 50th on Friday and she wants to go out somewhere to celebrate it. Now, if I am in a busy pub I feel the walls closing in on me and I get panicky.

Psychotherapy didn't go so well...
The therapy room was rectangular shaped, long and narrow, my
claustrophobia
played a part in this setting of environment. I like rooms where the walls are of equal size, square rooms are my preference.

Suffering from anxiety, effecting my grades and now getting transferred to a college?!
This is my first blog but I'm really depressed and anxious at the moment because I suffer from emetophobia and
claustrophobia
which causes daily panic attacks. I'm currently in sixth form and my parents have treated me to a private school for all my years in secondary school and now sixth form.

Phobia of being locked in.
I do have
claustrophobia
(fear of small spaces) my first attack of
claustrophobia
was when I was just 8 years old! I've always been petrified of lifts, in fear they may break down and I will become trapped, it all links together.

The long and winding road.......... the first post of how many???
pushed me down and pulled my arms up because and I quote "you're too fat to go thru the MRI so your arms have to go straight above your head..." at this point I realised I was a sufferer of
claustrophobia
