Still waiting!
How long have you had to wait for vitrectomy surgery? My journey started in January with a referral to the hospital following a check with my optician. Fast forward to now and although I’ve had pre operative tests at Blackpool RVH on 29th August, I’m not able to find out where I am on the waiting

Persistant AF but the irregular irregular variety.
Diagnosed April 23 via ECG with persistant AF but not the high pulse rate variety most members seem to have. Mine is always irregular and my pulse constantly ranges between 60 and 90. Not particularly aware of it. Prescribed Nebivilol as beta blocker and Edoxoban as anti coagulant. Marginal Stage 1

Heart Calcium Score scan scare
Hello all. Last week I had a scan done that my Dr ordered because I am diabetic and over 50. I can exercise fine with my heart rate to 170 at times. I don't have any heart disease in my family on both sides. My cholesterol and triglycerides are all well within normal range but..........this score

Hemp cbd capsules
I've started taking hemp cbd capsules, 50mg, they ate great for relaxing your muscles, good sleep, and in turn ease pain, they are expensive but worth every penny.i got them from Holland and Barretts, £70 for 30 capsules, but at minute if you buy 1 you get second half price

FRERs out of stock UK - alternatives?
Hi everyone - having always used FRERs to test and found them reliable, I can't find them in stock online and when I went to Boots their shelves were very sparse of everything but own brand and CBD. The double packs seem have gone completely and the singles now have a very long wait and also quite expensive

Prednisone and Muscles
A concern stemming from the very few questions I was able to successfully ask of the new to me Rheumatologist without being sssshhh'd.... Heartbeat post cardioversion
Had 2 cardioversions within 3 months of initial diagnosis of Afib back in November 2019. Fine until arrythmia returned early July this year. Initially told to stop my regular Bisoprolol 1.25mg per day until cardioversion which I had mid August. Back in nsr since then. After the latest cardioversion

Tikosyn/Dofetilide
Just spent 2 1/2 day in hospital to get Tikosyn dosage right and get heart back into sinus rhythm. It Worked! I feel great. I using the generic Dofetilide. Much cheaper. I lost 7 1/2 lbs. on the bland meals. I call it "The Hospital Diet". 😊

The optimal healthy ranges of thyroid function defined by the risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality: systematic review+meta-analysis
Not one single mention of T3 (in what is accessible). Comes across as having the potential to increase shoe-horning of individuals into population ranges. diogenes And with that list of names, its implementation will very likely be a fait accompli. EKG from normal to Sinus bradycardia in stage 3b CKD
My 77 year old husband stable in stage 3b for couple years recently had dizziness and some nausea. PCP did an EKG and found sinus bradycardia. Last EKG two years ago was normal. He has not had any dizzy spells for couple months and his first cardiologist visit advised him to maintain his BP meds etc

I have been on Rosuvastatin 5mg now for 16 months, originally started Atorvastatin, which caused too many side effects. In the last few months i had a few nosebleeds, pain in the back of legs, and generally feeling crap, also blood sugar went up again! The first year or so on it was not too bad, but

Cryotherapy
Has anyone tried cryotherapy for PMR? I’d be interested to know as it’s supposed to be reduce inflammation (as well as other benefits) . I am embedded in the football world and the physio of a club suggested it to me saying he thought it might help. Any thoughts?

palpitations
Hello! I have been experiencing palpitations daily (often 24/7) for over two years now. Got multiple electrocardiograms done, a holter test of three days, and tested for thyroid problems. Apparently, it's all anxiety they say. But this is a constant problem. It doesn't go away like....ever. antidepressants

Update: Consultation with cardiologist pushed back till October. In the interim, I called my GP to discuss side effects of Bisoprolol and, the fact they are not reducing my BP. I have been told to reduce the Bisoprolol dose to 1.25mg per day and take it at night.-see how we get on for a week. If

Gone back into AF
So this morning, one day short of 3 weeks after a successful cardioversion, I’ve woken up in AF. Heart rate 105 and rhythm is utterly all over the place. Don’t know whether it was the heat, the fact I’d had a fever for 3 days just before, or whether just being a bit more active the past couple of

I was recently diagnosed with afib and am taking Eliquis and propofenone. I am scheduled for a hip replacement in two weeks and am wondering if having afib makes the surgery more dangerous. Thanks for any advice or info.

QOL …update on hemp derived delta-8 and thc-p gummies. ( all hemp derived products are federally legal nation wide ).
this is purely anecdotal and from direct personal experiences of myself and others I know. All strictly IMHO. That said ….. first, hemp products are not federally regulated and the government differentiates hemp from marijuana. Standing in 100s of acres of fields, 70 miles south of me , are 10’

What does it look like?
Hello all, My dad has CBD and is in the very late stages of this cruel illness. I am just wondering if anyone that has lost a loved one to this illness can give me some insight into their loved ones last days, hours of life. My dad's breathing can be strange. Sometimes it is really rapid, some times
