Just spent 2 1/2 day in hospital to get Tikosyn dosage right and get heart back into sinus rhythm. It Worked! I feel great. I using the generic Dofetilide. Much cheaper.

I lost 7 1/2 lbs. on the bland meals. I call it "The Hospital Diet".

😊

I also was put on Tikyson during a 3 day hospital stay, but I have had subsequent afib events. Disappointing as it wasn't too long after I started taking it. I am hoping to get a cryoablation in the not-too-distant future. I understand that Afib almost always comes back, but I didn't expect it so soon. This medicine scares me too....

I still go into afib once in a while. Also PVCs (premature ventricular contractions).

I have a Kardia, which I highly recommend.

Glad it is working for you. Hopefully no side effects and that your heart stays stable for a good long time. Keep safe (P. S. I am in Canada and the option for tikosyn is not yet available as a treatment option)

Interesting about Tikosyn in Canada. Here in the U.S. we can't buy Apixiban (generic for Eliquis). Thanks Big Pharma.

Eliquis costs $5/day. I get Apixaban from Canada Pharmacy Online for about $3.60/day. Still expensive, but cheaper than Eliquis.

Yep! Been there done that. Worked great but had to upgrade from 250mg to 500mg after 3 years - wore off. 500mg lasted for another 3 then wore off and have to do the ablation in October. Had enough and will finally deal with it. Hope you have better luck. I would have been content to keep taking dofetilide for life. God Bless You in all you have had to go through.

Thank you for posting about Tykosin. My Dr wants me to go on it, I refused Amiodarone, too may scary side effects. Would appreciate you keeping me/us updated about your experience with Tykosin. I have been on all the other drugs, currently on Stoalol and Dilt 120 mg, Eliquis, but all make my breathing worse, also have Emphysema, so QOL is pretty much non existent even with 9 mg pred daily, inhalers and neb treatments. Hoping all goes well for you , Recca

are you still on the tikosyn? I have had two ablations, still on beta blockers with regular episodes of afib; I am considering tikosyn
