Hello!

I have been experiencing palpitations daily (often 24/7) for over two years now. Got multiple electrocardiograms done, a holter test of three days, and tested for thyroid problems. Apparently, it's all anxiety they say. But this is a constant problem. It doesn't go away like....ever. antidepressants didn't make it go away, benzos didn't do anything, mindfulness, sport, yoga. Nothing seems to help. My heart rate is normal, it's just that I always feel the pulse super strongly in my neck. I don't know what to do about it. Anyone that has experienced something like this?

Hi, I get heart palpitations too. I've been checked a few times at the GP and had an ECG too and told it is because of my anxiety. That doesn't make it any nicer though, does it! I don't feel it much in my neck (unless my anxiety is super high that day) but I feel it a lot just below my collar bone. It's horrible. And I'm the same as you. Nothing ever gets rid of it entirely. My GP gave me propranolol just in case it gets really bad (supposedly helps minor anxiety/panic attacks) but I'm too scared to take them as he said only to take them if my heart rate is really high.

I wish I could tell you there is something that can be done, but mine have never gone away either! They have reduced though. I use hypnotherapy tapes from Clear Minds for stress/anxiety when the palpitations get really bad, and they do help reduce them. Trying to reduce stress, anxiety and caffeine intake are the only things that help me. I love my tea though 😂 I switch to a decaff sometimes if the anxiety is too bad though. I really recommend the Clear Minds hypnotherapy stuff. Normal yoga/meditation doesn't relax me enough, but those tapes are something else. I've never been so relaxed. They don't always have an immediate effect, but they really do help if you listen to them every day for a week or two.

Wish I could help more! If you have endo that can make anxiety worse, and therefore worsen your palpitations. But just know that you're not alone. I hope you feel better soon. 💜

Hi! I started getting palpitations earlier this year, not in the neck but thumps in the chest and was tested but nothing seemed to be wrong. I was recently diagnosed as anaemic and now it has been treated the palpitations seem to have gone.
