Trip to the Er/ED
Globulin and EGFR
CKD
-EPI both low Probably not associated with a flare, since both inflammatory markers were normal range. Sed rate 4 CRP <0.50 Of course I've been googling my little heart out. Wondering if PMRpro has any insight from her research expertise.

Is it possible to build up a tolerance to liothyronine?
I’ve found myself in the midst of an interesting, if somewhat unpleasant accidental experiment these last few days. Having had some issues in obtaining my usual supply of Thybon Henning, I’ve now gone 9 days without medication. This was very much unintentional, and I am aware is not medically advisable

Eliquis
This may be a little long. On June 9, I went to the ER with shortness of breath, a CT scan showed multiple bilateral pulmonary embolisms. The doctor started me on heparin and did a procedure to break up the clots in the lungs (I forgot the name of the procedure) LOTS of blood work was done and the doctor

Eliquis
Good Afternoon,I didn't want to hijack Calypso' s post but I also have an enquiry re Eliquis. I recently bit the bullet and as advised by my Cardiologist have started taking Eliquis. I am on PIP - Flecainide and Metropolol. As time has gone on, it's taking longer for me to revert to sinus rhythm.

sudden fast heart rate help
Dear all I need some advice please. had my ablation 18months ago and still in SR all good. However today I was climbing a steep ramp at a station and at the top set off fast heart rate. It was over 102 which I know some might say isn’t dire but I felt AWFUL sitting waiting for my train. Got out and

When to take PIP flecainide?
Unfortunately my paroxysmal AF has significantly worsened lately and I am awaiting an ablation. In the meantime my consultant has put me back on flecainide 50mg bi daily plus an additional up to 100mg as PIP if AF kicks in. I’m now in AF almost every week for a few hours. Before it starts I frequently

My Wife had a recent AF episode
My Wife woke up early morning 1am when her heart went into AF (I knew the symptom as I have suffered in the past with this but unrelated to hers) After several hours later a trip to A&E was suggested by 111. NHS were totally brilliant and within two hour was given a cardioversion which put her back into

Coq10/Ubiquinol- is it ok or not ok to take ?
Dad takes coq10 as he also takes low dose statin since many years. I read someone on this Board write this on an earlier post - “I was advised not to take CQ10 since it helps the cancer cell recycle glutathione(GHS). Excess GSH promotes tumor progression, where elevated levels correlate with increased

Do you know your pulse?
Your heartbeat is the most fundamental rhythm in your life, signalling the regular pumping of your heart as it propels blood carrying oxygen and nutrients to the rest of your body. We take the regular beating completely for granted, never giving it a second thought until the elegant control process

When to call doctor
Hi all. I was diagnosed with afib last July. I had a cardioversion and was prescribed Eliqiuis and propofenone (a heart rhythm regulator). I had no problems until I drank a little too much wine at a wedding . Now, my heart rate is somewhat erratic and can jump to 160 periodically. It has been like

No symptoms but.....?
I was diagnosed with afib about three years ago but with absolutely no symptoms and had an arthritis operation shortly afterwards which went very easily. I now have very slight breathlessness if I go up a steep hill and I do feel a bit tired in the middle of the afternoon but at 73 I'm thinking that's

My GP to do annual AF tests to detect asymptomatic patients
I've just had a letter from my local surgery saying following my suggestion they will now take the pulse of people who attend for annual exams (blood pressure, diabetes etc) to see if they are asymptomatic AF sufferers. A positive result to then be referred for ECG etc. A small victory.

Bisoprolol
Hi Just wondering about my dosage of Bisoprol. When I read related posts on here, most people seem to be on a maximum of 5mg. I’m on 12.5 which I take at night. At my most recent appointment with my cardiologist in March, I asked if it could be reduced as I get so tired on an afternoon and I often have
