amount of protein allowed daily?
I am 14st 7lbs and have stage 3a
CKD
. I was working out how much protein I should have daily and I believe it is 1.6 oz. Seems so little but if that’s what I need to do, we’ll so be it. Is that the right amount?

CBD gel
Just an update regarding my experience using CBD gel for my knee pains. It did absolutely nothing to relieve the pain which I thought was arthritis but it appears it’s just joint pains possibly being caused by Apixaban which I won’t be stopping any time soon. Although you are not supposed to take anti

Painful toes - mother with CBD
My mum has CBD, and whilst still able to walk, has decreased mobility and has been suffering from painful toes, initially from chilblains, but still complaining of discomfort months later. Is this a symptom of CBD? I’ve been (unsuccessfully) trying to find comfortable and supportive shoes but nothing

After 4 years of pushing him, pushing for tests and watching a 6 foot plus ex Royal Navy football/rugby player fall, loose the use of his right hand and leg, loose the ability of speech he finally had a fall and was admitted to hospital. I chose, rightly or wrongly to push for more tests and 8 weeks

Running in aid of PSPA
Whilst my husband, Chris, lost his fight with PSP at the end of December 2019, our middle grandson James Weston will be running as part of the PSPA team in the London Marathon on 21st March 2024.It would be wonderful if James can get over his target. Any donations will go towards research into this

I am a

When were you going to mention I had early CKD? Oh I see, stage II isn’t anything to worry my little head about 😠
As my profile name implies, I have spent 20+ years in the healthcare industry. It took longer than I’d like to admit to awakening to how broken, corrupted and frankly dangerous this “Healthcare Industrial Complex” is. I recently had my annual exam with a PCP that I have always had great respect for

Latest bloodwork is great!
I also understand that I still have
CKD
, that it never really goes away, but maybe, just maybe, I've slowed the progression to a point that I don't really need to worry about it so much and honestly, the diet isn't that bad.

Her symptom started 5 years ago in 2019 when she was 73yrs old, but none of the neurologists could figure out what

Hello you lovely people. Anyone that have read my previous posts knows I am a 73 year old lady and am in permanent AF. I have recently started suffering with what I think is arthritis in both knees. I have been loaned a bottle of CBD gel to put on at night . My neighbour raves about how good it is. My

lack of help
A friend of mine was diagnosed with CBD last year, but started with symptoms about 4 years ago. It started in her left hand, she lost control and dropped things. At first it was thought she had had a stroke, but the symptoms have gotten worse. She has no coordination, or balance. She falls regularly

I'm struggling with pain from previous injuries (torn rotator cuff, lumbar back, sciatica)and PTSD diagnosed in 2020.My Hepatologist has said that I can take 2G of paracetamol in 24hrs. This does not sort the pain. I take 2 Cocodamol (8/500) at night (not every night) only as my fatigue during the day
