There has been TONS of discussion about Lee Hull on this forum, You can use the search up on topof this page. Bottom line.....ifthere was such a cure, why doesn't everyone prescribe it? and ... wait until you see the cost of the Albutrix... that is what he is making his money on. And all it is is vitamins and amino acids. You can decide for yourself. His concepts of diet and exercise are spot on, but you don't have to pay for his book to learn that.
I'd be interested in exactly what you do for exercise? I walk regularly( every day or every other) for about an hour but not really at a fast pace. I'm 70 years old. I'm not sure if I should push myself more than I do. In 12/22 I had covid and my egfr dropped to 27. I had labs last week and egfr was 47.I was always in the 3a range I was diagnosed in 2018. I have had HBP since I was 19 yrs. old.It has been under good control since shortly after I was diagnosed.
Since you asked, I do water aerobics class two times a week for an hour. Now, it is not in stationary water, oh nooooo....it is in a strong current channel and we work AGAINST the current. It looks easy, but it is not. We also use different buoyant resistant barbells and other tools for upper body strength. Then I also try to get in 2 miles every day. Not always successful, and sometimes I do way more. And now, I am working in my raised garden, which means turning the soil by hand and adding peat and other things to the soil. Uses a whole bunch of different muscles, and I am sore tonight. Just so you know, I also have Psoriatic Arthritis and my GFR is 13 and I will be 69 in a month.
I also walk and count my steps everyday or almost 5 times a week, each time for 1.5 hrs. I do yoga class once a week and wish to make it 2 but class schedule conflicts with my work schedule . The yoga class I do is “warm yoga” because they raise the temperature in the room to 84F to help body muscle relax. It is a new trend in yoga classes. I checked with my doctor about hot yoga (higher temperature to 94F) and saunas dry heat sessions , he discouraged both and said just waking daily is the best and safest exercise for kidney. Hope this helps.
That sounds great. I would not think heat would be good because among other things it raises blood pressure. Thanks so much.
