Need K Monitoring App
CKD
3B. Doc says no more that 2000mg Potassium per day. Have installed
EIGHT
!! K monitoring apps from Apple Store, and have spent hours getting familiar with them. ALL 8 apps (unless I have missed something) are lacking in one or more fundamental features.

CBD and Dementia
Hi everyone, My mum with CBD has been living with us since April, she was forgetting things a bit before but has got a lot worse whilst with us. She will forget something we have done already a hour ago or something you told her 10 mins ago. Just wondering if this is normal age related dementia or

AFib during Pilates
I have occasional AFib and a pacemaker. At the start of my weekly Pilates class (which I do for a sore back) I had a fast heart rate (112bpm) but went ahead with it (having informed the instructor). I took it easy but after 30 mins my fit bit said I had AFib so I just lay there until the end of the

Odd episode.
This am: took my meds (nothing new), used my new but long prescribed Anoro. Then had breakfast. Suddenly, during breakfast, felt very ill, gasping for breath and all over body aching. Had to lie down. Tested: temperature 36.1; pulse 80; but oxygen saturation just 88. Used Salmon inhaler (prompted

Amiodarone
Well good people, just want to share my ordeal with taking amiodarone for five years. Just saw my EP Monday and the result of a chest xray was "minimal fibrosis", a noted side effect of this evil drug. I am now going to have a cat scan of chest soon. My EP is not concerned but I sure am. Fibrosis is

Visual disturbances after ablation
1 week post op and everyday I have had vision issues... blurriness, auras, tunnel vision. It happened while I was in the hospital still and they ruled out stroke, but the issue has persisted. Wondering if anyone else has experienced vision issues after an ablation and can provide some insight Thanks!

Update on the AF journey…
Hi all, This isn’t so much a question but thought I’d post the ongoing journey…Be interested in what others think anyway. So AF started 22nd July ( or thereabouts). I started flecainide 50mg bd ( twice a day 😉) on 15th August and after 3 days on it on 18th I went back into sinus rhythm. Meantime

Euthyroid Sick Syndrome
Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with Euthyroid Sick Syndrome or thinks they may have it? I am now beginning to think that my problems are due to this and not Hypothyroidism. Am thinking of getting a reverse T3 test but it's quite expensive. This cannot be treated with meds so

Still waiting!
How long have you had to wait for vitrectomy surgery? My journey started in January with a referral to the hospital following a check with my optician. Fast forward to now and although I’ve had pre operative tests at Blackpool RVH on 29th August, I’m not able to find out where I am on the waiting

Persistant AF but the irregular irregular variety.
Diagnosed April 23 via ECG with persistant AF but not the high pulse rate variety most members seem to have. Mine is always irregular and my pulse constantly ranges between 60 and 90. Not particularly aware of it. Prescribed Nebivilol as beta blocker and Edoxoban as anti coagulant. Marginal Stage 1

Heart Calcium Score scan scare
Hello all. Last week I had a scan done that my Dr ordered because I am diabetic and over 50. I can exercise fine with my heart rate to 170 at times. I don't have any heart disease in my family on both sides. My cholesterol and triglycerides are all well within normal range but..........this score

Heartbeat post cardioversion
Had 2 cardioversions within 3 months of initial diagnosis of Afib back in November 2019. Fine until arrythmia returned early July this year. Initially told to stop my regular Bisoprolol 1.25mg per day until cardioversion which I had mid August. Back in nsr since then. After the latest cardioversion
