I have an amazing ability to pick relevant podcasts while driving. Just had my blood work done in preparation of starting Pluvicto and not being able to choose wisely while driving I picked this podcast which i have heard before and have even advocated on this forum before. Dr Chetty is so brilliant and out of the box thinking that I felt I need to share it again. I do take ivermectin for whatever insane reason. Actually I started when doing chemo because i had read a few article (from major medical institution but not clinical trials) explaining the mechanisms by which ivermectin can add to the effectiveness of conventional chemo treatments.
This is not why I am suggesting this podcast again. Forget that it is in part (a lot of the middle to end of the cast) about Ivermectin. Some people think it is a wonder drug that can cure everything and others think it can only eliminate certain specific parasites. Forget all that, what impressed me is Dr. Chetty's discussion of intermittent fasting seasonal diets and other thoughts on how we evolved and why we are doing so poorly today.
Please listen to his introductory explanation of his theory of health. It is quite amazing. There are studies, finally, testing some of these hypotheses, in the conventional medical environment, clinical trials of the sort that "scientists" can support. Look on clinicaltrials.gov and look for intermittent fasting and other related topics. These idea are finally getting attention. For a trial to be done someone has to come up with a hypothesis to be tested. Dr. Chetty proposes several. We need to test all sorts of "rouge" ideas not just those that will "prove" that the drugs of big pharma are all that we have. And please consider that many drugs under investigation are old drugs repurposed and or derived from natural agents but re-packaged in ways that make them profitable to market. What we really need are trials instigated by disinterested parties and funded by public funds not commercial interests.
Listen to the introduction. There is no way that I will convince anyone that ivermectin has uses if they think that the only valuable information comes from" double blind" controlled clinical studies. This standard is quite new, called evidence based medicine and it is fraught with as many problem as other methods of investigation. The idea that only those methods developed in the past few years have any validity is appalling to me.
Lets start thinking outside of the "Big Pharma" box a little. If anyone can refute the logical thinking of Dr. Chetty with respect to his idea about our place in evolutionary history please explain. And if you think his idea are not worth investigation please also let me know.
I’m a physician myself (psychiatrist) and I just added ivermectin today to partner’s cocktail of meds and supplements. I will also be adding lactoferritin and saw palmetto. I joined Dr Gonzalez Viner community for prostate cancer trial with IVM - waiting for response.
So thank you again for sharing this knowledge!
Also, Wow! Good on you- diagnosed Gleason 9 in 2013. Way to go in beating the odds!! You’re living proof that everything is possible!
I’m the romantic partner of a 52 yo man in Canada diagnosed with gleason 8 cancer in 2019 and officially mCRPC since 2 years with multiple bone mets since a few months. Happily no pain but unfortunately many debilitating side-effects to anti-hormonal drugs (Eligard + Xtandi) and recently adjusting to these when Xgeva (enzulamide) was addded in order to reduce/delay risk of bone fractures. After one injection of 120mg, decided to discontinue. Besides my analysis of the literature, I just didn’t see the Risk/Benefit - I worked 10 years in big pharma and I know exactly how that industry works. Anyway, this is where we are today and I just joined this forum Monday after researching side-effects from taking and discontinuing Xgeva. So grateful for your post!
What is this ivermectin community. Can you share the link please. How much ivermectin dosage did you add ? I am in India so ivermectin is easily available here
Hi Tinkudi. You mention you’re in India. Are you familiar with the pharmacy All day chemist? If so, do you think Ivermectin is safe to order from them?
Ivermectin is readily available here in all medical shops. I used it a lot during covid days. But the problem is these pharmacies do not ship to USA I think as it needs customs forms to be filled up etc.
Some years back I had helped someone from USA who did not have insurance and needed antibiotics - put them in a small book parcel and luckily it reached him. 😊
That is a misconception due to misinformation spread by mainstream media during the pandemic.
Here is a less misleading description:
Ivermectin is an antiparasitic drug. After its discovery in 1975, its first uses were in veterinary medicine to prevent and treat heartworm and acariasis.
Approved for human use in 1987, it is used to treat infestations including head lice, scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, trichuriasis, ascariasis and lymphatic filariasis. It works through many mechanisms to kill the targeted parasites, and can be taken by mouth, or applied to the skin for external infestations. It belongs to the avermectin family of medications.
William Campbell and Satoshi Ōmura won the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for its discovery and applications.
It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, and is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as an antiparasitic agent.
In 2021, it was the 341st most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more than 100,000 prescriptions. It is available as a generic medicine.
But why just say "horse dewormer" when Ivermectin is mentioned by someone? That can lead people to think that it is only for animal whereas its been used for decades on humans to successfully cure many diseases .
I am not saying that it is necessarily effective against PCa as I simply don't know. But it is a great medicine for humans, not just something you give strictly to horses.
Yes Ivermectin is used for all sorts of parasites on all sorts of animals including humans. Whoever called it horse dewormer was probably suggesting where you can get it "legally" All farm supplies sell horse dewormer that has as its only active ingredient, ivermectin. However be careful if this is what you use because some dewormers may contain other ingredients. This is why I use the injectable for swine. It is just 1% ivermectin and inert ingredients. This is from the web site of one of the manufacturers. AGRI-MECTIN Injection is clear, ready-to-use, sterile solution containing 1% ivermectin, 40% glycerol formal, and propylene glycol, q.s. ad 100%.
Because that's what it is. I'm not going to give credence to the weird off-brand uses for an anti-parasitic. Do you have a parasite or prostate cancer?
I know we're all desperate for a "cure," but this anti-science crap just bugs me. Listen to your doctor.
I have not said it was a cure for cancer as I do not know whether it would work on cancer or not. I simply said that it is not just for horse and science backs what I am saying as doctors have been prescribing it to humans since 1987.
Do you consider agencies like the WHO and the FDA as based on science?
If you answer yes, then they are the ones saying that is a an essential medicine and fantastic ant parasitic agent worthy of a Nobel prize. For HUMANS!
It is bad faith or misinformation to say that it is only good for animal.
There are also many more that are complete crap. I am not sure but I think there are clinical trials on ivermectin as an anticancer agent. Here is one legitimate trial not related to prostate cancer. It indicates that ivermectin is taken seriously. This is quite rare because there is little money to be made with such a cheap and available drug. No pharma company is going to get $200,000 from you for treatment so few companies are going to sponsor trials which are mostly sponsored by such companies. clinicaltrials.gov/study/NC...
I get it from Tractor Supply for swine. I would think that a reliable farm supply would have the real stuff. When it gets into pseudo-medical it could be more risky. I would guess that some brands are distributed internationally. India does manufacture many drugs and probably the vast majority are legitimate. However there are scammers everywhere. Ivermectin is cheap so why would they fake it? I would be more concerned with contaminants.
Are you in the USA? If so, you can get it over the counter in Tennessee since 2022 and I think it might also be available over the counter in Louisiana as of this year.
Or if you are near the Mexican border, you can also get it over the counter in Mexico.
there should be many Tractor Supplies in Nevada. I feel fully confident that the "inject-able" form of ivermectin used for swine is exactly the same purity and quality of ivermectin for humans. Probably comes out of the same labs batches etc. Just labeled for swine. People do not want their animals dying. You might counter that long term use in humans is another case because livestock will not live long enough to suffer from long term use but I prefer to ignore that possibility. The same companies make it for horses and they live a long time and are prized by their people. If crappy Ivermectin was harming horses we would probably find out? Horse paste in another option if you like apple flavor BTW I use the injectable orally I do not inject it.
11/27 will be my 3rd Chemo. The week of dosing I take off from work until Fri. Then I continue working until the next dose. The main SE are fatigue and somewhere after dosing I will experience a day of high temp. They don't want the temp to go over 100.5. I take care of that by taking Acetaminophen. That breaks the fever. I have cut my working hours down a bit.
But the biggest key to surviving chemo, I believe, is how healthy you are going into chemo and how strong a viral load you have to begin with. I started with G 7. Dx 2013, Radiation in 2016 and Hormone therapy since then. I do not dread chemo.
Now one thing I do against Onc recommendation is to continue my supplements. She took a look at my cancer supplements and said NO supplements. I did rate each supplement against chemo. Some were a no no- I dropped those, others were neutral and some actually enhanced the effects of chemo. It makes no sense to me to go naked into chemo. Some cancer treatments emphasize immune enhancement.
I get labs prior to each dose and so far my numbers are up across the board. I haven't told her. Hope this helps.
