Has anyone had improved thyroid labs or reduced their thyroid medication, after optimising their ferritin, B12, folate, or vitamin D?
I'm currently on a bit of a mission to try and get my ferritin, B12, folate and vitamin D to optimal levels. I'd love to hear anyone's stories or experiences of getting these nutrients up, and then finding their TSH, T4 and T3 levels improve and/or they have to reduce their thyroid medication. It would

Swallowing difficulty, have to chew meds.
About a year ago, I began getting my thyroid meds stuck in my throat. All my other meds, vits and minerals, being much larger, seem to go down ok, as they seem to have sufficient "weight" behind them. My magnesium capsule is the size of a suppository 🤣 and I can swallow that without a problem

Tweaking T3
Hello, Sorry to post yet again. I've gotten so much advice already and I will most probably have a go at the single dosing of T3 in the fall, but for now I have to make due with my split doses. I was feeling a bit off lately: increasing pain (back, leg, muscle, knee) in my right leg. Something that

New blood results, still feel rubbish
I had full TT in March, some tissue remaining. I started on 25mcg of Levothyroxine but felt awful so Endocrinologist has increased this to 50 mcg with added 10 mcg of t3. I still don’t feel great. I slept from 1 pm until 4 yesterday, unheard of for me, I am 64 and normally very active. I also have very

Hashimoto's blood test and cortisol tests
I have been asked by my GP Surgery to provide them with the list of blood tests I believe are correct for a patient with Hashimoto's. I don't seem to be able to find it. Would someone be kind enough to show me where I may find it please? Is it the same as under active blood test or are there 'extras'

NDT and Levo combination
Hello, I would like a little discussion. I drink Levo because of Hasimoto. I'm a big man and I need a large amount for my labs to be ok (I'm 120 kg lifting weights). When I drink 200 mcg of levotyroxin my results are ok, but T4 is over the limit. I would like to take some NDT so I don't have to take

Recent increase in Levothyroxine
I’ve recently increased Levothyroxine to 50mg, was on 25mg since 2015 but symptoms much worse now. I had recent lids done in 12 March and having next one in May. Unfortunately my blood test was done mid afternoon as only one available at the time, next is early morning. I’ve put my results in the

Falling asleep troubles getting me down
I’ve come along way but this is getting me down. I cannot sleep before 12, often 1am, Wednesday was after 3am. I’ve taken sleeping tablets for a few years (low dose Amitriptyline) and gawd that helped massively resulting in a good 7hours sleep from midnight. I’m titrating NDT Armour and in January

I am now wondering how long it takes for my blood glucose to return to a normal range? I've been eating a strict keto diet for the last 20 months, I've been increasingly active as I've tapered down (play tennis 2-3 times a week, use the gym and walk the dog daily for 1hr +) My average glucose, taken

Anyone been prescribed T3 by endo in Leeds? I need to advise my son's partner. Please send a pm (chat) to me.
Good morning, can I pick your brains? My son's partner has Hashimoto's and still has symptoms despite normal blood test results and I'm urging her to request a referral to an endocrinologist for a trial of T3. She is new to hypothyroidism and her fT4 and fT3 results indicate she is a poor converter,

low serum iron. Normal ferritin
been getting very tired lately. ET (MPL) on pegysus 45ug every 2 weeks. Mentioned fatigue to haematologist and he suggested reducing peg further to 3 weekly. Got the above results after we got home. Also raised CRP but I do have a cold . raised neutrophils and wbc. Haem thought this was good as mounting

DI02 Gene test
As if I hadn’t spent sufficient thousands on trying to find the answers I went and did a DI02 test to see whether I had difficulty in converting T4 to T3. Primarily to present my findings to the endo in the hope I may get Liothyronine on the NHS. The result came back saying the TT genotype appears

Blood Pressure, Heart Rate and T3
I'm raising my thyroid Medication. In the past couple of months I was taking T4 71 mcg/T3 18 mcg. My cortisol level is flat all day based on four point Saliva Test and suffering from adrenal fatigue. I asked my doctor to increase T3 so she prescribed T3 in small doses 3.5 mcg so I can add it and find
