Sorry to post yet again. I've gotten so much advice already and I will most probably have a go at the single dosing of T3 in the fall, but for now I have to make due with my split doses.
I was feeling a bit off lately: increasing pain (back, leg, muscle, knee) in my right leg. Something that was very bad when I was on the experiment with the added levo.
Also more tired than usual, sleepy, bit groggy, teary, feeling cold, dizzy.
So this morning I added 1/4 tablet of Tiromel to my usual dose of 3/4 tablet, so 25 mcg instead of 18.75 mcg thinking that maybe I'm a bit hypo lately. I'd hoped a breeze of fresh air would come wooshing in and the lights would go on but no: my symptoms are much worse today. I'm shuffling again instead of walking, shorter of breath, have to really force myself to stay focused and the pain is excruciating. Depression is worse. Exactly the same symptoms I had with the added levo
And I don't know if anyone recognizes this: pulling faces, sticking out tongue, clenching teeth. It is something I can control but I really have to do it consciously. When I'm alone my face is like a pinball machine. I used to think this is low cortisol but now I'm not so sure anymore.
So if anybody has the same I would really like to hear it.
I know it's early days and I should stay on this dose for what, a couple of weeks? But if I'm feeling like this on day 1, how big are the chances things will improve on this dose? Knowing myself the chances are very slim.
Should I not simply go back to my previous dose for a couple of days and then try to maybe decrease a little bit?
Thanks in advance!

Which types of B complex have you tried? There are ones that contain non methyl type vitamins that might suit you better. Folate is also important which would be in a B complex.
Oh boy, I've tried all sorts in the past 40 yrs. No, I can't have anything with methyl in the name you are right about that. Folate is also a big no. I can hardly tolerate anything.
I dont have the answer to your question, but can sympathise. I started T3 a week ago and feeling more hypo since then :(. From the research I have done, this can happen if adrenals are not working well and cortisol is low. As newly added T3 will require more cortisol from body, cortisol levels will deplete further, leading to fatigue and mood issues etc :(. I am not sure what I should be doing at this stage. Stop the T3 trial? persist a lttle longer? or try some HC?
thanks for replying, and the suggestions. I have posted a separate topic, but not got much luck. I am also at the stage where I don't know what to believe. I guess patience is the currency but I dont have it at he moment.
I recognise your pain but one day is going to give you no useful information at all. You could have made the absolute correct decision but you will never know, shying away from it away so quickly.
This thyroid dosage ‘game’ is not something you would wish on anyone else, it’s awful.
Lots of situations are highlighted on the Forum and it’s awful when expecting ‘magic bullets’ and yet they don’t appear to work for you.
I too am in the middle of a similar dilemma.
I have found that even decreasing Levo can be sensed within a very few days. However it’s not until weeks have passed that you really can decide whether the outcome is any good and whether there is a need to re-strategise.
T3 is quicker and often much more powerful. It’s much more difficult (for me) to make up my mind what to do, especially in the face of difficult symptoms. It feels like decisions must be made more quickly when it’s aT3 thing - a pressure no doubt related to the power of the T3 itself!
