Good morning, can I pick your brains? My son's partner has Hashimoto's and still has symptoms despite normal blood test results and I'm urging her to request a referral to an endocrinologist for a trial of T3. She is new to hypothyroidism and her fT4 and fT3 results indicate she is a poor converter, so I really need to ensure she is referred to an endocrinologist who is abreast of the current research on how essential T3 is to well-being, and that some patients need Liothyronine adding to their thyroid meds. I'm very aware that if she's told it's not her thyroid and must be something else, she will believe it as she hasn't the experience to know otherwise. Are you aware of any in the Leeds area that fits the bill? TIA
