My afternoon in A&E
So I went to the GP who did a heart trace as I was getting chest pain as well as the stroke like symptoms. They sent me to A&E. Chest x ray fine, bloods ok - though my veins have collapsed due to APS and so I am covered in bruises from many blood test attempts. I had also passed a clot this morning -

My story x
I then tried the injection but produced milk in my breasts so went back to
cilest
same problems again, and then finally in 2011 I went on the implant and this stopped my periods for a while but when I did have a period it would be really dark in colour and last for half hour to 14 days plus.

Patient turned Doctor.
I've been around Doctors and ill people for a few years now to have picked up a thing or two. My sister-in-law and her boyfriend stayed with us over the weekend and he was complaining about breathlessness and the swelling around his ankles. To me these are the very familiar symptoms of lung or heart

Very Angry
Just thought I'd introduce myself and explain my situation. I was diagnosed last April with very mild COPD and Asthma. My Doctors put it down to passive smoking as I've never smoked. About the same time I was getting pains in my shoulder. I ignored them because they tended to go away and mainly occurred

First rheumy appointment, she can't decide what's wrong, what do you think of how I have been treated?
I went for my first rheumy appointment on the 24th June. All my symptoms seem to me to suggest lupus. I was asked lots of questions and had a through examination. She said that she thought it was fibro but wasn't as I didn't respond to any tender points. She then said it was probably auto-immune and

Herpetiformis Dermatitis and Non-Hodgkins Low Grade B-Cell Follicular Lymphoma
As far as I can tell, I have had HD since Christmas 2011, when I was 61 years old. It worsened in 2012, but my dermatologist (#1) resisted testing for/exploring autoimmunity (my younger brother died from complications related to JRA in 2009 so I thought there might be a link). Dermatologist #2 did all

Rough journey through health
Back in May this year I had had a few weeks feeling a bit rough, not really myself. I pretty much ignored it and carried on, occassionally taking pain killers if needed. This didn't seem to be anything more than a passing virus at the time. Eventually, towards the end of May, I began to struggle

I posted earlier this week about feeling breathless. went to the doctors yesterday, lungs and cheste were clear, but heart is beating fast but regular.Suggested I had a chest x ray on monday and a trace. the only reason I was a bit surprised at her, what I thought was a laid back approach was my cardiac

Oh dear . . . Oh dear . . .
. . . I had a Chest X-Ray done a few weeks ago and yesterday I was asked to go and see the main man (my GP – really the nicest of Doctors I have ever seen) and so I went…! Now do I say ‘PHEW’ or should I be grateful (which I am) that someone (other than just my GP) was doing their job and found a little

As Promised - Update on the Health Saga
Well it was a long night and a long day - and sadly no results from the consultation today. Lots of various tests done and repeat X-Ray. The tumour is still there but hasn't grown and he cant see anything else on the chest x ray. The important question as to whether it is cancer or benign wont be answered

Am I being fobbed off by my GP or worrying about nothing?
Was told they won't prescribe Femedene anymore, probably Yasmin or
Cilest
and I should go and discuss this with one of the female GPs as "with only four of the 13 GPs in the practice being men, we are a bit deskilled in hormonal issues!"

Lung issues
Hi I am a bit worried as I have always had that early morning smokers cough for a long time but for the past 6 or 7 months now my morning phlegm has gone from the usual colour to a brownish blood stain colour. I saw my GP and he referred me straight to hospital for a chest X-ray. I am scared to get the

My ongoing infection.
7 weeks now with a chest infection. Just as it seems to improve, it comes back. I saw my specialist today. He is a star! After 2 lots of ABs and 2 lots of steroids, I knew on Saturday night it was back, so I started my 3rd lot of steroids but no ABs as he had already told me that they won't help.

Newbie to the world of endo - can anyone offer any advice whilst I await treatment?
I used to take
cilest
but this gave me migraines. I tried cerazette for a couple of years and have now been taking dianette for two months. I am 28 next week and worry about my chances of conceiving.

My journey from misery to hope.
I wanted to share something. As some of you are aware, I had my Levothyroxine reduced just over 7 years ago from 150mcg down to 100mcg purely on the basis of the TSH. At the time I had only basic understanding of my situation as a post-total thyroidectomy patient. I had been quite well

Understanding Raynauds
Hi All, I have been a member of this group for a while and found everyone's posts very informative and helpful. Thank you so much. it's reassuring that Raynauds isn't just a case of "cold hands" which a lot of people seem to think. My doctor suspected I had Raynauds last June when I started getting
