Chest pain despite clear chest x-ray result?
Hi there. Back in August, I felt chest pain for quite a few days so I went to the GP who told me that it was chest pain I was feeling, and offered some painkillers should the pain be unbearable. It went away after a week, and all was well. I felt pain again in December, and went back to the GP, who now

Doctors are testing me for asthma, so many questions!
Hello everyone, apologies if this is a little long winded but I've not been able to get this out of my mind all week. I have previously been treated for GERD. I was given a tablet which took away all the symptoms. Around the end of summer I noticed some of the symptoms started to pop back, mainly -

A fib
So i normally post for me but this time it’s to ask questions for my husband. He felt his heart racing yesterday when he wasn’t doing anything we took his blood pressure and it was high but not too bad but an irregular heartbeat symbol popped up i thought it could be a fluke so we took it again 30 mins

I'm new, having flare up, any ideas?
Hi everyone, new here. I’ve had asthma all my life but it has been extremely well controlled for most of my life, allowing me to do some pretty intense cycling events etc and not need my blue inhaler at all. I’m 28 now and am in the middle of what seems to be a flare up of sorts. It started about

Chest Pain above right breast
For about 1-2 weeks I've had a horrible chest cold. Coughing and mucus galore. I started to get better, coughing less, when I got a new symptom. I have strange chest pains above my right breast and near my armpit. It's a kind of tight burning pain with occasional sharpness. It becomes more noticeable

Diagnosis
If I had copd would it show on a chest X-ray? Am still not sure why I have been told I have developed asthma. Is it likely to become copd? This really on my mind

Concerned
Had an attack on New Year’s Day, first one in 20 years. Was admitted and given nebs, steroids and antibiotics, discharged home later that evening. Chest X-ray clear. Here I am a week later with no real progress. Seen go who prescribed me further steroids. Feeling totally wiped out. My peak flow was 350

Anxiety can't hurt you.
I don't understand I had a pretty decent day yesterday... Went to sleep feeling good besides some aches and pains.. Woke up this morning to pounding heart.. Over 100bpm...left arm pain, left neck pain. Feeling cramp... And then the thoughts start coming, what if there is something wrong with my heart

Asthma set off by lots of things..... dogs, caught a cold, standing of cold train station..... GP changed me from seretide to sereflo ... all at the same time. Had 2 weeks on steroids and chlarythromycin..... now chest X-ray and high dose of co-amoziclav and the nausea is horrendous and also vomiting

Positive pseudomonas
My daughter is colonized with pseudomonas in the past and has a trache. Now she is sick again and the doctors won’t do any another culture because it will come back positive. Will this positive culture ever go away? What can be done to get it gone. Chest X-ray looks good. Blood test was all good.

confused?
My drs suspect endometriosis, but aren't doing anything about it aside from putting me on
Cilest
and Tranexamic Acid (which hasn't changed anything) I've had blood tests that show I have a severe hormone imbalance, including hypothyroidism. They aren't doing anything about it.

May not be asthmatic but need advice!
Hi everyone. I know this is an asthma forum but not sure who to ask so thought I'd put my story out here and see can I get any tips. I went to my own GP 3 years ago with a chronic cough (ongoing about 15mos by the time I presented - I study abroad and had been told in that country my cough was psychogenic

Feel like I am going mad - no change in dose for 7 years
Hi I am newly registered, I am 30 years old and I have hypothyroidism diagnosed in 2010 and I haven't had a change in dose (25mcg levothyroxine) since this time. The only thing I can think of as to why my dose hasn't been changed is because I have cardiomegaly (enlarged heart) found on a chest x ray

I'm new here.. Advice on irregular chronic bleeding and useless medication
Nine months later I saw gynae at university, the whole time taking
cilest
and 3-4 norethisterone daily to keep bleeding at bay, however no longer anaemic. Gynae suggested depo-provera might be useful in treating the bleeding, therefore took me off

Return of chest tightness.
Hi all. I posted on here about 10 months ago to do with suffering with chest tightness for about 3 or 4 months. After getting clear on a chest X-ray and scoring 110 on a lung function test I went for a CT scan, the results showed the remenants of a bad chest infection. By this time I was starting to
